I see people in the gym holding one db on one hand and bending in the opposite direction working the other oblique. I tried doing this with just a bb on my back(held like in a squat) with no weights. I started bending sideways and could feel a burn right where the inercostals and obliques meet. is there a precaution I should take before doing these? I am pretty sure it wont ruin my back, if I performed with good posture, but is there something that I should look out for? I havent heard anyone posting about this kind of exercise, nor have I seen anyone do this before.
