*chirp*
One thing I have noticed lately is everyone in front of me at the grocery store uses their little welfare cards to buy food. Yesterday I made it out and saw one lady with three kids (which used her welfare card) jump into a 2007 Durango. How she can afford that and also be on welfare puzzles me. I really should quit working so hard.
I think there are fewer income restrictions to get WIC and EBT cards than a full on welfare check.
P.S. Tell me everything I need to know for my remedies exam on Thursday.
TYIA
I need to hide some income and get a WIC card then lol
Remedies...hmmmm...the general is rule is sue for everything under the sun and take everything you can get. That won't get you an A on the test but it will make you a wealthy attorney when you get out!
I had a student the other day who got a 59.97 in the class (a D- but only because I round up to the next whole number - he should have had an F) and requested that I increase his grade to a C. His justification was that he wanted to switch from being a marketing major to a finance major and a D- would not look good. I told him to stick with marketing. I get E-mails like this every semester too. That brazen audacity of these students...
And that's what counts!
My "laugh test" is exceptionally easy to pass, so when I write pleadings I tend to go a little overboard.
Our grades are pretty much set in stone. No emailing and begging profs for an A here. But then, you pretty much have to sleep through the exam to get a D.
Ok, back to remedies studying. Now only 186 typed pages of notes to memorize.
Only 186 pages lol
I took conflicts rather than remedies. Remedies had almost everyone in the class, conflicts had like 5 of us. (it was one of the few classes I booked lol) If you have a choice to take conflicts I definitely recommend it. It is an amazing area of the law and one overlooked. If the law is in your favor it is easy to terminate a lawsuit just by playing with jurisdiction statutes, or get the case switched to a jurisdiction that is more favorable to your client.

I'm taking conflicts this semester too. Yes, I am a masochist.
