SUPERDIMI said:I have a condition called hip bursitis. The bursa sac in the hip becomes irritated and causes that type of situation that you're describing. There also could be some type of fracture in the hip. You got the lower back x-rayed, but did the docs get a good look at the hip?
If you want to look at all the symptoms and causes of hip bursitis a yahoo search would give you lots of information on the condition and its causes. If I remember right the conditon will resolve with rest and ice or in more chronic cases a cortizone shot directly into the bursa(I had this).
I'm probably stuck with it because I have problems with my gait.

Is that a chronic problem, or more of an accute injury? I just did a search, and it looks like a short term injury more than something that would be chronic.
If it's chronic, what are your symptoms? I only ask because my girlfriend has hip problems, and she doesn't know what the fuck it is...her doctor is a moron too, and he doesn't know how to fix it.
ever tried trigger point therapy? It was worked wonders for me and flat-out miracles for others.
