Hiit?

HIIT....I see people talkin about it...i have not seen anyone describe what it is... i,ve heard its difficult....i LOVE difficult cardio... so what is it?

HIIT is an acronym, for High Intensity Interval Training.

It is a way to workout using minimum time and maximum reps to get a very quick yet strenuous set in. FI, I do morning HIIT's, which involves 3 sets of 20 pushups, with 10 second break in between. a 30 second break, then 3 sets of 20 dips with 10 second breaks. Another 30 second break, then 3 sets of 20 situp's with 10 second breaks. Although mine is modeled after the Tabata type training, it is still a HIIT routine, since it is all about intensity and high stress.

Yep, the basic hiit protocol is 30 seconds high intensity/30 seconds low intensity. So if you were running, you'd sprint 30 secs, jog 30 secs, sprint 30 secs, etc.
