I don;t know RyanH either, but what I am seeing is a guy that has no real problmes of his own so he looks to solve everyone else's.

Except he can't see clearly because he doesn't understand day-to-day problems. Never had them.

Most of my friends are lower to middle income, and are minorities, so I do have some understanding of what life is like for so many Americans. Also, I pay taxes, go to school, pay bills, pay insurance companies, just like so many of us do.

Simply because one comes from a privileged background doesn't mean he or she is incapable of understanding other's problems, now does it? George Bush is from a priviliged background doesn't he? Most of you would argue he understands problems he has absolutely no experience with. JFK was from a privileged background as his entire family does, and the Kennedy legacy of public service to all Americans is remarkable....

Jimsbbc: I've been fortunate enough to have jobs while I was younger that paid well. NO, I have never worked fast food.

I don't expect perfection, but I do expect them to do their job. That's what they get paid for(even if it's just $5/hr), and that's what they should do. I worked those jobs in HS myself and I gave 110% no matter what I was paid. Why? Cause that was my job.

I argued with the manager at McDonalds because their sign said something was on sale and they were charging full price. I told them that's what the sign said and the manager said I'll check it. I said OK I'll wait, and he told me that he didn't have time to check it now. I called and got the owners number and he sent me a voucher for a free meal. I wish I would have stayed there(god, why didn't I think of that?), but that wouldn't have solved anythng besides making me feel better and I wouldn't have gotten a free meal.

I tried to explain to the manager at a McDonald's once that the sign they had up showed that something was .01 cents and then obviously probably meant $.
he just said, no, we mean cents, you want to buy it.
so I told him I take a hundred and gave him a penny.
he then acted like I was the idiot.

I also like it when signs randomly have things in quotes. our dining halls at school used to have "pizza"

and the all time best was when I walked into a mcdonalds and the girl behind the registered yelled out to the back people "I'm supposed to be invisible!"
I told her if it made her feel better I could pretend I didn't see her.
she didn't seem to get it. but I watched her carefully and nothing extra was added to my meal... at least not by her.
