Thought of you recently at of all places Home Depot......bought a new carpet for the MBR and found one that's a mix of beige, blues, sage & butter yellow...........well of all things the name of the carpet is "Raina"

So of all the people on EF I have Raina in my bedroom all the time.....LOL :p

:lmao: Too funny! Now you can walk all over me.

Between having an all women's forum and finding out that there's another woman on here in the midst of a remod I'm beside myself!

Hehehee, "walk all over you" too funny!! :p

I just figured all the guys would be jealous......

I wish we were doing new carpet right now but the kitchen and bath are priority at the moment. I want some "raina" carpet.

This carpet is an area carpet -- I like my hardwood floors but need some carpet

It was $179 for a 7'9" x 10'9" rug.....it's nice

I'm 1/2 way done my tile job -- decorative -- I'll post some pics.....

damn, didn't work..........gotta figure out how to post a pic now....

Hmmmmm....maybe I'll carpets just our bedroom for now. It looks like I'm getting 500 lnft of custom maple base and casing for $200 and 6 panel solid maple doors for $30 apiece from work. Yeah for special order returns!

R -- where do you work?? Lucky you to get such deals! Wow!!

I'm loving the laminate wood flooring I have in 2 bedrooms -- so clean & attractive....

I love maple too....my kitchen cabinets are maple...

Wow! Those look awesome!

Sorry I disappeared....we closed and then went out to the house for a while (we picked up half of our kitchen cabinets).

Ooooh, so exciting when you pick up new stuff for the house!! It's a long process but worth it in the end. I moved into this house 13 years ago with my ex husband & we redid some things, then when we divorced I did more.......now I'm doing even more to make the house more to me & my 2nd husband. Plus decorating & stuff.....it's a never ending process but sooo rewarding.

Hey jen, there's one more button you need to hit to acutally upload the image before posting.

Are you going to tell me which button or just leave me hanging here??

:FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol:

Ooooh sorry girl. I thought you'd see.

The first two are "manage attachment", then "browse". You hit those, but then once it's located your file you need to hit "upload" and wait for your computer to successfully send all of the file. Only when its finished should you click "close window" and then "post".

I did do that......you can't see the pic? Or just the thumnail.....

I get this process down someday.......then they'll change it! LOL :p

I can see the pics!

Over the weekend we gutted the kitchen and tore out a wall in the kitchen. Tomorrow night J's going to tear out everything in the upstairs bath. My dad is going to teach us to tile when he gets back from a business trip next weekend!

Ah progress!! It took me about 4 days to do the tiling in my bathroom, but I was only working 1/2 days. FYI -- Home Depot sells a adhesive & grout mix that is pre-mixed so you don't have to buy separate adhesive & grout. Saved me time........

The whole back of the house was torn off for a decent portion of the weekend....so the painting I'd hoped to get done didn't really happen. It was much too cold for paint to dry! I am incredibly thankful that I'm not living in that mess. It's literally over knee-high in drywall, old studs, insulation, walling, flooring, and other crap in the kitchen. We get a dumpster tomorrow. I can't wait to have hot water AND more than 1 functioning sink. :)

Kewl....make sure you take before, during & after pics so you can look back & see what a great job you did!!

Funny story -- when I redid the kitchen we had to have the electric panel replaced cuz it blew but that took a week -- so for a week I had to live with only enough power to run the fridge & tv.....THAT was fun!!
