Well I'd imagine it wouldn't be that hard when you chain the doors shut so people can't leave. With the amount of people in the building we're lucky he didn't get more.

oh, i didnt realize he chained the doors shut.

i never said it was an 'illegal gun' (ie a semi-automatic that was illegally converted to fully automatic), i said it would be illegal for him to purchase one, since he is not a legal US citizen.

He was a permanent legal resident:

"Law enforcement officials told Williams that Cho was carrying a backpack that contained receipts for the purchase of a Glock 9mm pistol in March. As a permanent legal resident, Cho was eligible to buy a handgun unless he had been convicted of any felony criminal charges.

Cho renewed his green card in late 2003 and would have undergone a background check at that time, immigration officials told NBC affiliate WSLS-TV of Roanoke. If a criminal record had showed up then, officials would have denied the renewal, they said."

Incorrect again. In Virginia, a legal permanent resident can purchase a firearm.

looks like the news has changed since initial reports yesterday. i guess that changes things :)

if an insane person wants to go on a suicide mission you are going to have a very hard time stopping him. ban guns? two of the worst terrorist attacks in this country were done with box cutters and a truck with fertilizer. the liberals and the left are in full attack mode as they take advantage of this tragedy to promote their agenda. last week it was the 1st admendment with imus. this week the 2nd admendment. soon there will be a dem. on the house floor blaming bush

From the sounds from the video's I've seen on cnn he popped off 2 rounds once in under a minute. So with multiple clips you could go to town with a glock.
