Bighorn sheep with his bow yesterday. I guess he was crawling up on it and it spotted him as he got close and then the ram climbed up on a rock and peaked over. Bad move, my friend was ready and stuck him, it was a 20 yard shot. That was only the second ram he got within bow range all season. The ram went 50 yards and dropped. i guess right after a storm rolled in blanketing the area with heavy rain and lightning while he was stuck above timberline. God dam, now that is an adventure. 2 days and I am hunting elk!

amaritto, it is not a guided hunt. I used to guide deer and elk hunts, and now I am going solo. I live in Colorado, lots of elk, but they lack nice racks like Arizona bulls.

Bull69, heading up to Vail afterwork tomorrow. Hunting will be slow the next couple of weekends, but atleast I will be out in the woods.
