Hey guys I was wondering if someone can answer a question for me. is it common to suffer depression while using steroids? I am worried about my fiance because a few months ago we sat down and had a long talk about our careers and dreams and turning professional in the sport. we decided that she had a better chance out of the two of us because she had already been getting noticed and everytime she entersa tournament she has close to perfect scores. so we decided to use steroids to try to get her to the elite level and become a pro. but since she started using steroids she has beecome really depressed. is this common? for instnace she never wants to leave the house and when we do go somewhere in the car she will start off listening to the same song over and over over again and then she will listen to only one 12 second or so part of the song over and over over again. is there anything I can do. what do you guys do when you are using steroids and depressed.

I am all for helping people out but this is a very fishy question ! You should have some kind of clue what steroids do if eather of you were really on them. With that said i do not think i can help you in the least ! Sounds to me like a generic question ! ( PS, steroids might cause paranoia and this could be my problem ) :chomp:

Weird first question. If it's true, I'm sure the depression is caused by something else -- maybe the fact that wanting to be a pro bodybuilder is about as realistic as wanting to be a cowboy or a clown.

Why you say fishy? I know what steroids do. I am asking if they cause depression while doing what they do. That is not fishy. And why I can't make another post faster? It say I have to wait 600 seconds each time. I was going to post this for the guy that was down in the dumpster with his feeling on the other thread.

"Hey man my fiance started using steroids a couple months ago to turn pro and they have made her very depressed. why would you think they would make you happy? is there anyway you can get a reverse effect and be happy instead of depressed when using steroids."

I ask simple question nothing fishy.

What is she taking? Compound and dosage plus and other medications. Was she ever like this before? Yes, there is something you can do. Have her evaluated by a medical professional.

The reason i said it's fishy is because i cant figure out how anyone can do any drug and doesnt know for sure what sides there are ! thats strange to me ! Hell you asked if there can be a reverse side effect / Not to be a smart ass but she could grow horns and a tail for all we know..everybody reacts differently to all drugs......
i am not being a Dick, i just wonder what kind of person could think about going pro that doesnt have knowlage of side affects from diff/supplements ect......Thats like wanting to be a mechanic and not knowing that there are torque wrenches instead of Adjustables ! Sorry for being negitive.

You know, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was a pretty common occurance. I mean, look at post cycle when your emotions change. Or look at the beginning of the cycle when you get the test flu. I firmly believe that when you alter the level of hormones that your body is accustome to, you are upsetting the equilibrium of the body in more ways than one. Steroids affect your mood to various degrees, along with other aspects like appetitie, sleep patterns, etc...

It is certainly a possibility, especially if you are only seeing this behavior after she started. If it wasn't there before, but it is now... it could very well be the steroids. And this is her first cycle (apprently) so their could be other issues involved as well.
