nah...i wasn't upset. just thought it ironic that you castigated someone for their bigotry by using an epithet.

my friends (all straight) call people fags all the time right in front of me. internally, i may squirm a bit, but i think their acceptance of me shows much more than what they may say. personally, i pay more attention to peoples' overall attitudes than the words they may use.

i've always found you openminded, wodin.
 
What really upsets me is when people use it as an old standby.

The key word is "old". It's tired and trite.

If you can't flame somebody with some flair and elan, then don't flame at all. I roll on the floor when I see some really good flames that are based on somebodies percieved weakness, and then build from there.

If all you can use is "faggot", then get a fucking dictionary and thesaurus, and learn some language. Preferably English!

to my knowledge, wodin and havoc have never been offended when i call HS a raging homo. actually i should say that they have never expressed to me that they were offended, because who knows what's going on inside their heads, other than "damn it would be nice to be simultaneously spooned and entered by a large and powerful black man."

cause, if it did, i would like to nominate pooface as its successor.
