Hernia

Is it possible for a hernia to resolve (heal) itself. I have a small tear in lower abdominal wall. Had one before and got the operation. (over 20 years ago). This one is on the same side.

What can happen if I don't get an operation and keep training?

Im no doctor, but I would really get the hernia checked out and fixed. From what I have read, the protruding tissue (intestine) can lose circulation and the tissue can die, which is definitely not good. I wouldnt prolong it man. Hope it all works out for you.

the abdominal wall is torn and the lining is usually being stretch by you intestines and other orgsn thus decreasing the internal strength. you should get it fixed because all the added pressure will make your lining heal wrong, too much room which will be problem later in life. Plus tears internally usually only get bigger, unless medically treated

A hernia cannot heal itself. If you do have one, it may stay the same or it most likely will get worse. There are many different things have hernia like symtpoms, so I would go get it checked out.
