I have never witnessed any prejudices either. There are so many different "types" of riders.
It is always funny to me when people are afraid of "bikers". Everything from newbies to CEOs all mix and mingle and could care less.
But pretty much everybody gets started out and is sucked into the beginner bike, spend a million dollars on chrome kits/ upgrades trap and in the end most covet their own custom cycle.
That's what keeps the Harley joints in business after all...customization.
My first bike was a 1964 DuoGlide. It cost a whopping, chromed out, custom $1450.00 out the door. The $81.00 p/month payment almost killed me, course that was after a hyuge $300.00 down payment - THREE YEARS of payments, including insurance.
Bikers are not bikers because they *ride a Harley* (although it doesn't hurt)... HEART is what determines a true biker.
Those that are assholes are assholes will forever assholes remain.... they will never have heart nor will they ever be accepted in the community.
When I started riding if we parked anywhere near any business, the sheriff was called and we were escorted out of town. Now, the valet directs me as close to the front door as possible and people walk out and oo and ah and come in to say, "NICE BIKE!"
Those that have a *nice jacket* and drive and old CAGE beater come into our presence, we just look at them and smile to one another.... nothing else needs to be said.
My old bros are now dead, CEO's, major moguls in all industries, and if we need one another there is no question that we will be there. 3/4 of my brothers are either dead from war, drugs, gunshot wounds, or old age (we lived the hard life then) but we all have a common bond: watching each others' back, keeping the cage from our brother and living the life.
Wannabees never get it and never will.
A starter bike is like jacking off with no hands. No heart, no soul, NO BALLS.
Rock on sister! Much love, YOU GOT IT! .... those guys don't.
