I'm kinda pissed because I really wanted the Knicks to play the heat. Already beaten them twice and the lack of depth and pressure they'd have on them in the 1st round would have been ideal.

That said, I feared Boston a lot more pre trade deadline than I do now. They're the worst rebounding team in the league and have major size issues (like the Knicks do) but without the athleticism.

Despite that, pierce/Allen/kg/rondo are money in the playoffs and that alone is a problem. I think it'll be an epic series.

Melo is playing MVP caliber ball (back to back Eastern conference player of the week) and the Knicks are on a roll. Where are all those melo haters now?

celtics won't win that easily. They're 12-11 since the trade and have looked downright awful at times. Jeff green hasn't done anything. The celtics will obviously turn things up in the playoffs but they're vulnerable. no k-perk, old banged up shaq who's stilll out , jermaine o'neal just returning from knee surgery.

No experience? Melo and stat both been to WC finals. Billups won a chip and played in god knows how many conference finals.

Our bench isn't as bad as advertised. Especially when you look at the celtics bench now. Yeah, you got big baby...but no more Nate. Just jeff green and kristic. And green has been flat out terrible.

toney Douglas and shawn Williams are better than people give them credit for. Both shoot over 40% from 3 and are good defenders. Toney Douglas leads ALL NBA players in 3's made since the all star break.

And I can tell you have not watched them play recently. They run a lot of pick and roll, 2 man game, and iso stuff in the half court. they don't need to run and gun to score. Their defense is also a lot better overall. Maybe not ppg because of the number of possessions but they get stops when they need to and create turnovers.

They're underdogs, but just watch. you wont be right in this one. At least 6 games and I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks pull a stunner. If they still had Perkins, I'd say no chance

Tonight chicago played their full squad, and we had no STAT and the scrubs got major minutes. Were up at halftime, and then came back after a bad 3rd quarter. Melo didn't even play in the 4th because it was meaingless for us (but not chicago). they were in the game for most of it

The example you cited about the illegal screen wasn't even in the last two minutes of the game, so it has zero relevance. Two or three HORRIBLe call/no calls in the last 20 seconds of a playoff game are inexcusable.

Those past playoff runs of going 6-7 games with Atlanta or Chicago in the 1st round were a killer, and now that the C's are even older this is much better. Kudos to the Knicks though for scrapping though, def fun basketball to watch unlike alot of the reg season I watched. (Brutal watching an aging team try to coast into the playoffs)

Watching this series was like playing against the celtics in NBA2k11; i expected every 3 from Allen or Pierce to go in, especially during critical times.

Everyone on the heat is a choker except d-wade, and he hasn't hit a game winner this season. The celtics have so much playoff poise it's actually sickening.

I don't think the Celts got the legs to keep up with both Wade + Bron in a 7 game series, they barely did with LBJ and scrubs in past.

Doc Rivers is a great coach, but Thibs was the mastermind and built the schemes to stop Lebron. Lets see if. Doc can adapt to stopping him + Wade. Bosh and KG are a wash and reg season means shit

Pierce < LBJ
KG = Bosh
JO < Haslem (If he plays), otherwise JO> Z, etc
Bench > Bench
Doc > Spoelstra

I see Lebron and Wade keeping Ray/Pierce numbers in check, when that happens: Who's going to pad all the points, Rondo with his jumper + KG?...... Wade + Bron will get theirs no matter what

Celtics took 3 out of 4 from them in the regular season.. yeah the regular season isn't the playoffs, but the match ups are the same for the playmakers.

The fact that the Heat have no bench at all is going to bite them in the ass.. not to mention with how Rondo is playing I see him destroying Bibby. He's too old/slow and could never D up anyways.

As for stopping LeBron.. it doesn't matter if no one else can score. LeBron had big games against Boston in their losses, the problem was zero bench production. And that hasn't changed.

difference is

heat = no bench
bosh = pussy, who big baby and KG will dominate (although KG is definitely a fake tough guy. still not as pussy as bosh)
everyone but dwade = choker
nearly everyone on the celtics = clutch in the playoffs

Celtics have both good 1 on 1 defenders and team defense. They're force the heat to become a jump shooting team, and wade and lebron are both iffy at BEST as jump shooters.
