Help with starting new!

OK so... my husband and I always worked out together and shared the fitness hobby, very recently he has decided to give up on us and this leaves me a little out...

I was doing helios and anavar only with working out at the YMCA 3-5 days a week... now I dont have a treadmill at home and on my off time with my stuff. I dont go to the Y because I dont care to watch him talking with "everyone" ! You know, kinda embarrasing... what would be my best routine, it is soo cold outside for walking.... should I start another cycle? It has been about 3 weeks that I have been off... I tried Zumba but it kinda sucked....

Any suggestions on how to focus on something again is appreciated!! HELP I need sidetracked!!

My goals are to tighten up and gain some muscle. I am 34, 5'6' need to lose some weight, but who doesn't... that is why I love the helios!!!LOL I was thinking about maybe trying to do running, how do start that? I have always just been in the gym in the cardio room and on the machines...

you want to gain muscle and lose weight.. that goal is hard to accomplish for a noob.

lets stick with weight loss for now.

eat fruits/veggies/ drink lots of water. starved cardio in the morning.. a fast paced walk will work either outside or treadmill... elliptical is BS, you get a far better workout fast paced walk or light jog. you will lose weight doing this.

How long cardio in the am is good? Should I do something in the evening as well? I want to have major results and am very determined, he says I only focused before because he did, I NEED to prove him wrong!! I always loved it but never really made a regime for myself, I just did the stuff he did for convenience...

Find the necessary Heart rate to burn fat (usually stated on the equipment youre using). What you consume will play a large part to attaining your wanted goal. But I would say no less than 40 minutes. At least I know that works for me so you need to see what works for you.

Get reading on nutrition/micronutrients,etc. Cardio on an empty stomach will certainly help you drop some body fat but if you dont gauge your calorie intake then you will miss your goal and you could end up sacrificing muscle in the name of "getting back to him".....

I am used to eating the chicken and rice, yogurt, plain diet... I have the nutrition part down, I just wanted to make sure I was getting the most of my cardio, is the zumba thing overrated or does it make a difference? Maybe I could do that in the evening... in addition to the am walk/jog.

How long in between helios cycles do you wait?

You could try alternating between HITT sessions and longer, steady state sessions for cardio. If you can include some weight lifting, that would be ideal and a lot of it still comes back to diet and nutrition...eating under your maintenance levels. I've never done Zumba but try it and it see maybe? If you enjoy it, add it in..that's half the battle with cardio! lol

Can you go to another gym?

He left you because you tried to get him off gear?

well we always had some issues but when he stopped he was sooo nasty and just everything was my fault and he said he was done, so I guess kinda yeah... He was on for almost 9 months straight, I think he may have a small issue! I

his testosterone levels plunged and he felt like crap so he took it out on you. AAS does effect emotions I dont care what anybody says. when I was on i treated my gf like crap and was chauvinistic with her, felt too powerful, wanted to pick fights, etc. when i came off I felt like a gurl, all emotional.

the trick is to take your emotions out throwing weights around and not on others.

resistance training (lifting) in conjunction with cardio will help you shed lbs/fat much faster than cardio alone! your body will burn calories 24/7 while it repairs the muscle fibers you tear on the squats and deadlifts! plus...the extra bonus is the nice round, firm butt you will acquire along the way. good luck on the journey!

I expected that he would be up and down but I know that he needed to get off for a while for his health so I would be patient with him... I guess I should have let him on them and self destruct :( I lost either way! I could see a difference when he was on them anyway, like you said the ego was giant and he LOVED all the attention from EVERYONE!! I think he just sees how everyone loves the guy with muscles and wants to live it up... I guess that happens, it just kinda really sucks because I loved him when he was all jiggly! LOL

How much weight should I do??

How much weight should I do??

enough where you can do (at least) 1 body part per day. start small 3 sets of 6 - 8 reps. Here is a simple example of a Fem friend of mine and it worked well for her.
Mon: chest
Tue: back
Wed: Legs
Thur: shoulders
Fri: off (she liked going out)
Sat: Arms
Sun: off (going to church to repent for going out Sat :D)

Adjust weight based on the above, get a good night rest, eat well. Move on & better yourself....

How much weight should I do??

you are going to have to figure that out. maybe you should look into a trainer to get you going down the right path. then when you gain some knowledge about lifting and your body, you can branch out and handle it on your own.
