Well, i've been reading for hours again on the HST boards and other stuff, and using all the information i've gathered I put together a pair of workouts that i can alternate through my HST cycle. I still have to test and calculate all my weights, but i should do that easily by the end of this week. Here are my lifts...
Workout A:
Benchpress
Squat
Lat raises
Calf raises
Hamstring curls
Wide grip pull ups
Incline flys
Preacher curls
Tricep pulldown
Diggers (for obliques)
Weighted crunches
Workout B:
DB incline press
Front squats
Military press
Calf Raise
Close grip pull down
Pec deck
Concentration curls
Lying EZ-bar tricep extensions
Leg Curl
Ab crunch (on pulley machine)
Choppers (also for obliques)
Doing 3 workouts a week, Mon, Tues, Wed, and alternating the A and B workouts evenly.
It was very very hard for me to cut down on excercises since i'm used to targeting every muscle group more individually lol but I got it down to the 9 excercises + 2 more for my abs. I read that a common mistake was too many excercises so thats why i changed it. Also i believe (but not positive) that it's alright to switch in different excercises for body groups. If that isn't right, somebody help me out.
So if anyone has any doubts that this is a good HST program please chipe in and give me some advice, otherwise i'll probably start getting my weights down tomorrow.
P.S. Thanks for all the useful info. I've picked up more than i ever thought i would on these forums!
