lmao...what are you studying?

Last year of pre-med. Actually, most of my classes were from when I majored in chem but took a 2.5 year break, lol. I am finally back but changed my major and I guess all the chem stuff wasn't a waste. yay!

No more ambulance triage work? You wanna be in the ER or just do plastic surgery and make the big bucks?

Worry more about your MCAT if you havent already taken it than your classes. I mean, still do good in class, but if you havent taken the MCAT yet, MCAT score is more important than grades.

I will prolly still work on the ambulance while I am in school. Just a day or 2 on the weekends. It will give me a HUGE advantage to have so many years of patient care. After school- I wanna be in the ER.

I KNOW!!! I am a little bit afraid. I have almost all of the classes. I just need a biochem and another physics. Mostly, I will be working on MCAT stuff. YIKES!!!!

If it's calculus or calc-based physics, there's a few of us that can lend a hand. But I know fuck-all about organic chemistry and anatomy.

YAY! Ok, great. It's prolly gonna be action-packed full of calculus...and I'm not a big fan. Help would be great. As far as chem and anatomy---> I got those bishes locked down nice and tight.

Doctors probably deal a lot with the decay and growth differential equations. Drug effects being cumulative and wearing off at exponential rates.

Actually, I had to learn a TON of that stuff in paramedic school(yes, it IS true). Paramedics are not the same as EMTs. We give drugs='s we gotta know how they work in the body.
I am great with stuff that applies to HUMANS. Its the other stuff that worries me. I will get through it. I just HATE math.

I have to start prepping for the mcat in january so we are in the same boat, loved organic chem, but flunked p chem... shit was way over my head, made props to chem majors though and physics majors too, 2 things my brain isn't quite organized enough to comprehend. You seem cool and empathetic, you'll be a great physicisian.

mahalo mahalo for the knowldge donated to me on previous thread... you actually slept... wow, must been due to chopping all those trees,
though I got tired of seeing 80 avi's of dude's back that is wider than mine, oh well

let us get just a peak behind the veil... did you get some kind of emerson/thoreauish -no homo- illumination working outside? I don't have to work till 60 minutes from now, and inspiration has eluded me now for weeks, its like a drug... I think cause I've been so busy with work and school and have spent less time working out, this is a major factor. Lets get a peek behind the veil on this board...

Nature bro. I was surrounding by the "shrubbery" and flowers that I've planted myself in my backyard. Everything was serene. Motionless. It was as thought the earth stood still. Silence. Breeze of fresh air. Greenery dancing to the rhymes of the universe. It felt like the world has attained its equilibrium. This was my meditation. I had to write. I was inspired. You can't ignore that. It's a calling.

I was about to say I could help you with finance, investments and business law classes (heck I could send you the instructors CD) but the pre-med stuff is out of my specialty area....

Ditto. My underground degrees are in Physics and Biochemistry. Help with homework is strictly on a barter system tho..... :)

My dad was a in union law for about 20 years til he crossed over to the dark side(corporate law) for the last 10-12 years. Damn, I should have went to law school. Between u, my dad and HR... I could get a ton of homework help. Damn it! Why can't I like law!?!?!?!?!?

Let's see . . .

Force = Mass x Acceleration

Maximum velocity for a falling human body is about 125mph, which is not fast enough to render you unconscious during you descent.

Mixing pure potassium and water produces a violent explosion and, I think, flammable hydrogen gas, so if you've ever fantasized about blowing up your neighbor's pool . . .

If you're falling and you grab a power line with one hand, you are a resistor and you'll be okay. If you grab it with two hands, you'll complete a circuit and will be baked to perfection.

If you get hit on the head by a penny dropped from the top of the Eiffel Tower or a similarly tall structure, it might sting, but it will definitely not kill you, as the penny does not have enough mass to do any damage.

Yeah, that's bout the extent of my chem and physics knowledge. Good luck! ;)

Wouldn't it be neat-o if they taught us that stuff in 3rd grade?

Interesting, there would be no difference in potential between hand A and hand B. Therefore, no current would flow. Else, we'd see an awful lot of fried squirrels and birds.

I thought you were only fucked if you touched 2 diff wires...

If you have any business classes, I'm your girl. I don't think I've deleted any of my papers yet. Otherwise I'm afraid I won't be much help.
