All of a sudden my computer is not recognizing my CD roms (I have a CD rom and a CD-r/rw. there is some sort of problem with the Secondary IDE controller... When I go to the device manager under the CD rom it only has the CDr/w listed and there is a red X through it... when I hit the properties for it it I get the following message......
"This device is not working properly because a a dit it depends on, Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo), had been dynamically disabled."
When I go down to the Hard Disk Controllers I have this listed
Hard disk controllers
1 Intell 82801AA Bus Master IDE Controller
2 Primary IDE Controller (dual fifo)
3 ! Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)
With the ! in front of the Secondary controller showing a problem..... anyone have any idea's??
The other day I removed the hard disk controllers and rebooted and everything came back as normal..now the same problem again...... thanks
