Help with 1st ever injection

I injected for the first time on thursday December 18th with 1ml of test cyp. Unfortunately, I used a 1/2 inch needle in my thigh and I've been sore ever since. I imagine I injected into either the fat or subcutaneous layer. It's sore and a bit swollen. I ordered new 1 1/2 inch needles which should be here this wednesday. Just wanted to know if this is a normal reaction. If not, how long should I wait to see a doc. Any advice is greatly appreciated guys. Thanks

Use ur buttocks...cut ur but cheek in quarters and put ur thumb directly in the center of the upper outside quarter.....an inch in any directin from ur thum and u are gtg.
