help----what should i do post office notice

i tried to check the tracking number on my usps package abd the following message appeared;
We attempted to deliver your item at 7:52 am on December 16, 2002 in --------------- and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Status is updated every evening. Please check again later.
anyone ever recieve this

did you get the notice?

Maybe you weren't home when they delivered before. It might be as simple as them telling you that they couldn't deliver because you were not home. You might just call and have them redeliver and see if you can time it or whatever. Perhaps the box won't fit into your mailbox-

It's just a standard notice they leave when they need a signature and nobody is home. Just go and get it.
