Help! Running my first Cycle.....

Alright, I've been thinking about crossing over to the dark side lol..
I'm planning to take Anavar plus ECA.
A few questions...
Has anyone had any experience or knowledge with both?
Is it safe to do both at the same time?
For a first time user...should I go with 5mg or 10mg?

I know some people stack it with clen, but I don't want to mess around with my thyroid.

Btw, I will take some measurements later.

Let me know if you need any more info...

thank you :rose:

Welcome to the dark side ;-) It would help to know where you are in your training and diet and what your goals are. I don't recommend aas to anyone but here is my experience:

My aas of choice is Anavar. I have never been a drug or supplement kind of girl but started Anavar to gain muscle mass that I just wasn't gaining on my own (with effective workouts and diet).

My first cycle was 5mg for week one and then 10mg week two - eleven. I gained 10lb of muscle without adding much size (the goal for me). I used this cycle as strength building. (I also ran Winstrol with this cycle for three weeks - my joints hurt so bad I had to go off on the Win)

Second cycle was 10mg for week one - two and 15mg week three - fourteen. This cycle was way too much and for way too long. The long cycle and higher dose made my hormones go crazy. I thought I was premenopausal! (I'm only 33) I actually saw very little results from this because my diet wasn't right on and I hadn't cut enough in between cycles.

Third cycle was most successful. 10mg a day for 6 weeks. Perfect timing and dosage. Intensity flared at the gym, rep ranges and weight increased and I felt stronger than ever. My diet was more in check and I had added lots of tabata work and interval training. You can see before and after photos in my journal.

My sides included: mood swings, reduction and in some cases stopped having a monthly cycle while using, and mild acne. All hormone induced.

I have never taken ECA or any "weight loss" drug other than my most recent start of LipoStim and LipoFlame (milder than ECA). Ephedrine and that much caffeine scare me personally. Anywho, the two should be fine together - just watch your appetite. Both may supress it and you need to make sure you are giving your body the nutrition it needs. No starving yourself. Just know that as on any weight loss drug there is an aftermath to pay. When you go off, weight comes back on. Even if just a little. There is always rebound. I also know that the body gets used to ephedrine after a week or two and it becomes inaffective unless you cycle it. Lastly, as with any weight loss drug, know that the real weight loss comes from your increased intensity in the gym. You may get this if you chose to go with Anavar alone. As with any weight loss drug you shouldn't take them if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure. I'm sure you have done your research and know the risks (particularly the impact on your heart from ephedrine and the addicitve nature of the caffeine). If you chose to do this I would recommend going on slowly and coming off slowly.

Of course you know this but nutrition and your workout structure are key. AAS alone will not produce the results. You have to. If you are going to put your body through this then make sure you go all out and get everything down pat. Matter of fact, if your diet and workouts aren't on key now, don't even think about starting a cycle ;-)

I know others will chime in and share their knowledge - I am new to ass so I can only share my personal experience with it.

Has anyone had any experience or knowledge with both?
I have taken many diffrent fatburns with var my personal favs are Venom and clen
Is it safe to do both at the same time?
Yes with any fatburn please make sure your water in take is high at least a gallon prevent dehdration and cramping
For a first time user...should I go with 5mg or 10mg?
First time user 5 mg is best IMO providing there are no sides your second cycle you can bump it up to 10 mg
I know some people stack it with clen, but I don't want to mess around with my thyroid.
T3 would mess with the thyroid clen effect your beta recptors much the same as ECA

What are you trying to accomplish gain LBM lose fat? Current diet and training?

Get ready for some fun.

Unless you've done ECA before and liked it i would just start with some lipoflame or lipostim.

Until you have your diet pristine there is no need to put any undo stress on your body. I've tried clen and t3 and got nowhere because my diet sucked. Now my diet is much more in check and i just use lipostim.

What QT said.

Over the counter ECA stack shouldn't hurt you unless you abuse them or you have pre-existing medical condition.

IMO also clen is garbage and doesn't yield any more benefit than OTC ECA.

I wouldn't mess with T3 either. I mean, what is the point? You can drop a good amount of bf and maintain LBM with better diet and better training.

From what I understand Anavar is *the safest* anabolic agent for women in that sides are very low and gains can be very high in proportion. I've heard of women experiencing significant gains on cycles as low as 5MG EOD, maintaining awesome strength and hardness using OTC ECA with stringent dieting and hard training.

But back to QT's original question: why the interest in the cross-over? Is it that you would like to compete someday?

Excellent post - please pay carefull attention to the bolded part as she isn't exaggerating. :)

Nothing wrong with clen (when its the right time). "Hey I want to loose some weight" is not the right time. "hey I want to step on stage" is a little closer to what I would call the right time. Before that I would stick with
1.diet
2. then lipo or eca
3. clen(that is if you have don everything right with 1 and 2 first)

Clen IMO is not crap but its the last step and should be left till you have exhausted the first two. Albuterol imo is a far better choice over clen when you do get to that step.

Hi guys,

Thank you for all your quick replies!

My ultimate goal is to LBM and lose fat. I've been training for years, and now I think I'm ready to take it to another level. I want that hard look that you only get after a good work out, but unfortunately that only lasts for a few hours. BM----I would love to compete one day, just can't make that kind of commitment at the moment. Due to my hectic schedule and everything else, I'm afraid I won't be able to give 100%.

I've been taking ECA on and off for the past year. We all know there is no magic pill... it just gives me a ton of energy. I could work out for hours and still feel good. OHH, I only take it ones or twice a day, otherwise I'll have a hard time sleeping.
My diet is on check most of the time. I understand that i would have to be very very strict when I go on var. Which I could do, no problem.

Here is a sample of my diet:

Am--before work out
-1 green apple

After work out ((I soo look forward to this meal.. lol)
--4 eggs (scrambled or boiled) 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
shredded wheat or oatmeal with blueberries

--Chicken/tuna with veggies or a salad
1 sweet potato + fruit

--Chicken with a salad or veggies + Fruit
(if i feel slugish sometimes, I will have a sweet potato)

--Fruit or APB or Almonds

--Fruit again or cottage cheese

As you could tell I love my fruits lol...I'm not going to starve myself. I've done that in the past, didn't take me very far. If I feel hungry, I'll eat, just make sure it's a healthy choice. Throughout the years, I've learned to listen to my body.

Beverages:
Water Water
Glass of wine sometimes...( this will have to go when on var)
Coffee from Dunkin Donuts every sunday...ones a week it's not that bad, it's good for your mental health lol :supercool

Work outs:
I train like a maniac. Started doing ironwing's schedule today, the 4 day thing. I hope you don't mind girlie :rose:
I was doing 6 days on, one off and sometimes twice a day. I'd do my cardio in the afternoon, ride my bike or jog.

hmm I think I pretty much covered it.

Let me know if my diet is any good...

One more question..

Has anyone experienced hairloss? I'm very afraid to lose my hair.

Thank you all :heart:

I am going to have to bow out on this one. Looking at that diet (as a big man) It looks like my breakfast.

princesa its great to see you posting over here. I look forward to watching you post more.

There is too much fruit there hun maybe one green apple a day max fruit is sugar never forget that. Can you put your diet into FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal with the amounts your eating need to get an understanding of your macro`s vs your stats height weight and bodyfat.

Var there is very little chance of hairloss doesn`t mean it wont happen ever just extremely slim.

Your diet looks as though the macros per/meal could be distributed a bit differently. Please take QT's suggestion and plug it into Fitday. It only seems like a pain but is pretty easy once you get the hang of it (which isn't that hard. LOL)

And I also agree there is too much fruit. Simple sugar/Vit C and a fiber (Green Apple excellent pic) great pre-workout but you really don't need that much more throughout the day. I am thinkin more veggies and slow burning comp carbs to keep that even flow of energy to your body throughout the day would better serve your metabolism.

Also after workout, why do you need THAT MUCH protein in one sitting?

What are your stats?

If you take in too much protein in one sitting your body will only absor what it needs then the rest will be dumped or stored as fat. (Tatyana would be able to give you the accurate specific metabolic process. But I do know that your body can only utilize but so many calories of any macro when ingested in one sitting.)

YOU STOMACH DOES NOT FUNCTION LIKE THE GAS TANK OF A CAR. :) (Oi, if I had a dollar every time I gave that speech LOL)

Well I'm a little bummed out about the fruit servings :(, however, I'll cut it down. There is so much information out there, it gets a bit overwhelming. I was under the impression to eat as many fruits and veggies as possible. As far as my morning meal goes, it is a big meal. I'm practically starving by that time, I need some fuel to keep me going. But I see your point BM, I'll look into it.

Can't sign up on Fitday right now, I'm working. Will do that later on tonight.

I stay away from the scale but I took some measurements for you guys to see.

ok here we go

Biceps= 12"

Chest= 36"

Chest under boobs = 32"

Waist = 27"

Hips = 36"

Thighs = 22.3"

Calves 14"

I know i know..all hips and thighs lol
gonna try and get a bodyfat test done by this weekend, ughhhh hate that :evil:

This isn't chat.

Remember that please.

First and last warning.

I am sorry, BIKINIMOM, I wandered over from chat and didn't realize how to behave with a modicum of respect towards myself, the other members and certainly not the moderators. I didn't realize that MY WORDS are read by countless women who might not know that Princesa and I are *e-friends* and they might not KNOW that I was kidding. I promise to behave myself or just stay in chat. :)

Hey lady. I'm so glad to see you posting all of this! I agree that you want to eliminate some of this fruit. Too many sugars - and that sluggish feeling you might be feeling could be due to a sugar crash. I used to load up on fruits too - not until I limited them did I feel better. Do you take any protein, glutamine or BCAA supplements? That will be an important add to your diet - particularly if training from my program. There is some good advice on here! Start by tracking your diet for a few days in FitDay - do this before trying to make any changes. Get a good idea of how many calories you are eating and your macros (protein/carbs/fat). This will help you greatly determine what needs to go or be added. There is a really good post by desmond in the diet forum (the thread is by onebreath - something about smashing a PR record). He posted a list of GREAT foods that should be in your diet. Check out the fruit - if you are going to eat fruit - have it early in the day and stick to that list (berries being the best). You are well on your way - do that tracking - get your diet down 100% and stick to it 90% of the time. Then, once you have that down go on VAR. Do yourself a favor and don't waste a cycle (I have done that). Get everything in place and then go for it!

I don't see why you are bummed about your measurements you are in good proportion. What is your height please?

I am 5'3" and our measurements are nearly the same. I think my thighs may be a bit smaller as I don't lift weights much anymore but other than that, pretty much the same. I am very thick-wasted, always have been so in order to be competitive you will have to really really bring your shoulders out (that is, if they are not well developed).

Fruits and vegetables are NOT interchangeable. Fruit is not evil or bad it is just that there are as many veggies that will give the same nutritional/fiber benefit without all the sugar. Now simple sugars that come in fruits are not evil as I say, matter of fact pre-workout they are good for you. Did you ever think to have just a bit more food BEFORE your workout? Combine macros so that it will slow the absorption of the calories that you do ingest?

IMHO the way you are breaking the macros of your first two meals down is very ineffective: too little fast burning calories before, no slow-burning (leading to initial spike then plummet of blood sugar during workout) which leads to major hunger post workout.

Is this making sense to you?

I know it seems like a lot of info but once it clicks it will click BIG.

Please ask all the questions you like. WE LOVE IT when people get involved and take control of their own success. ;)

Something really important is that you must know how to reduce bodyfat with diet alone when starting to use AAs, because once you stop from taking them either it will be too hard to keep what you achieved or you will rebound.

I see your diet and it looks very deficient... don't get me wrong... but I'm sure that with a twist it could give you better results.

Since, you are planning your cycle, take into account (this is very important) that your protein consumption must increase... you know what anavar is for right? On the other hand, you mention "My diet is on check most of the time"... for the cycle and after you need the diet to be on check ALL the time.

I have some suggestions for your diet

Here is a sample of my diet:

Am--before work out
-1 green apple

---->+ protein shake

After work out ((I soo look forward to this meal.. lol)
--4 eggs (scrambled or boiled) 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
shredded wheat or oatmeal with blueberries

--->> the eggs you can take 2 yolks and 4 egg whites or 1 egg yolk and 4 egg whites
I would swith the cottage cheese with oatmeal with skim milk.

--Chicken/tuna with veggies or a salad
1 sweet potato + fruit

>> this meal should be chicken/tuna with veggie salad with 1 sweet potato and a fruit

--Chicken with a salad or veggies + Fruit
(if i feel slugish sometimes, I will have a sweet potato)
>> this meal should be chicken/tuna with veggie salad with 1 sweet potato and a fruit

--Fruit or APB or Almonds
.---> this meal needs protein... ie., protein shake
On the other hand, I would limit fruit for the morning or mid afternoon.

--Fruit again or cottage cheese
>>> tuna with veggie salad.

In other words, one thing that must be present in all your meals is protein.

Regarding hair loss, if you have not taken AAs before it would be good to have a med check up
