Well that's 9 units shit starts getting real serious when you have approx 250 units, that's federal. States vary from state to state. So you prabably be looking at probation with either some type of fine or community service. More than likely charges won't be filed.
But you never know, being that he admitted everything to the cops.

This is what my feelings are.
1) you should have denied it but since you did not lets get beyond this
2) He could not record your conversation unless you were notified of him doing so. The tape would never be allowed.
