Take Pepto Bismol... it is old... been around for years... now, they add some new formula to it... and it is different, so it's NEW... and since the new formula makes it better it is IMPROVED....

I never understood that joke... the "How can something be 'new and improved'" one, it seems pretty self-explanitory to me.

new - applies to what is freshly made. If something is NEW, meaning the first time around, how can it also be improved as there is no standard to compare with to gauge the impoved-ness??

True... new does mean that... but with the added formula, it would be "new" as well... perhaps a better word would be "Upgraded"... Improved would fit I think though... because the standard was the old bottle of Pepto... whether the formula actually improved the product is not known, but Pepto seems to think so, so I think improved would work..

So perhaps it should read "UPGRADED and IMPROVED!!!"

I'll go along with your definition of New... I think the one I used works, but upgraded is the more suited word for this.

I always root for the bad guy, but I NEVER wantthem to go to jail in real life either..

I think only murderers/rapists should be in jail.

Police bring a whole other meaning to the word "bad guy"

Some are alright, but they are mostly hypocritical assholes that arrest and fine people for the things that they also do.

If I have learned ANYTHING in this lifetime it is that when talking to someone in hopes of an answer or positive response, using the term "YOU PEOPLE" will get you less than desired response.
