Goddammit! I got ripped in half friday nite and in my hubris got egged on into arm wrestling some fuking tough guy. I beat his ass in 4 seconds but now i'm suffering because my arm is killing me after only 6 warm up sets of benching. any one have any quick ideas how fix this shit. My arm is KILLING me!! fuccck

karma given for anything that sounds half ass good

Ice, traction, AR....take some time off and let it heal. You already ruined a workout, don't ruin months more by pushing it when it's sore. Just my .69 <---inflation

I'd stretch the bicep first.
Then ice the pain for about 30 min.
Then take a shower/bath/jacuzzi for another 30 min.
Stretch again.
Take some ibuprofen and then go sleep for a while.

Thats what I do to help de-flame my patella tendonitis.

That arm wrestling shit always hurts the weight lifter. Unless you plan to compete and train to do so never arm wrestle anyone for anything. Being a big strong guy or in shape and good at curls or having big arms doesn't make one an arm wrestler but I guess you knew that before or were reminded after the hangover wore off. I've been there so I'm not preaching to ya. If that sore spot is on the inside of your arm near your elbow and above the elbow it's probably tendonitis. I'm sure you know but that's when the tendon gets lots of tiny little tears in it. I'd wear a brace and work through it but I'm stupid like that. Others would rest and wait it out. I like lifting to much. I'd also take some Ibuprofen.

Rest is the only thing that will make it better, IMO.

I unfortunately got volunteered to arm wrestle a couple of years ago and much like you, my arm hurt in the very same place. Think about the angle and the pressure on your arm from trying to explode and pull your arm forward over the top - that was my reasoning behind why it was sore in that specific place. I remember hitting some reps on arms and chest that week but that it was noticeably sore, so I took it easy and it was "normal" the next week. I don't know if it helped but it sure felt damn good to kind of give it a massage / apply gentle yet firm pressure in the area of pain with my other hand.

And, LOL @ got drunk and in my hubris arm wrestled some tough guy. Doesn't that make you a tough guy too? Two guys drunk and arm wrestling, toeing up to see who the big dominant alpha male is?

the pain is where my bicep meets my elbow. maybe the tendon? i dunno but it fukin hurts

The SAME thing happened to me over 2 weeks ago. The injury was in the same place. Ruined my bench and couldn't do my pullups either but most of the other stuff was ok. The bad news is that even though it's getting better it's still not 100% and this is the 3rd week out.

Rest it and be patient.
