Help me pick a new doggie!

after 14 years i had to put my little terrier jake to sleep a little while back....

the parental units begged me to get a new dog cuz i was so sad, but i didn't wanna replace him.....now, i think they are right....i realy miss having a little dog around and i know jake wouldn't mind as he'll always be uno numero :)

sooo...

any suggestions?

little dogs please....

i'm thinking maybe a yorkie or chiuahua?
 
get a black lab they dont get too big:)
 
my kid has one of those all he does is shit and eat and play on his wheel, hamsters arent that much fun

well, it's more productive in life than Hamstershaver is.


if you want, i've got a dog i'd be willing to part with. he's an aussie sheep dog mix. bout 60lbs. year and a half old, balls cut off. he's a little hyper active, but that's ok.
 
If you're a single person, a mastiff.

If you want or have kids, a lab or an australian sheepdog.
 
get a weimaraner, they are smart, loyal, bueatiful, poised, I love mine, he is an awesome grey color and has amber colored eyes.

he's not huge actually. he's smaller than our shepard mix, and they weigh about the same.

best dogs....go to the animal shelter. we've gotten both of our dogs from there. feels kinda good to adopt a pet that someone else didn't want. sure, you don't get a pure breed dog, but then again, you don't pay mega bucks either. plus out here, if you adopt a dog, they give you the certificate to get them fixed if they're too young or just aren't already. that alone is normally $60. we got both our dogs for $40 each, but they just jacked the price up to i think $100 to adopt a dog. yeah, no shit, $100 to adopt a pet, and they're not offering any freebies to go along with the deal. cats at the shelter....$50, used to be the same as dogs. their adoption rate is going to go down with the higher prices. idiots.

bah, ick, yorkys, I cant stand those dogs, sorry nothing against you or your dog, I just had a friend that I came to dislike recently and he had a dog like that and it pissed me off all the time becuase it would bark in my face and bite me
 
I have two lhasa apsas and they are cool. :)

They have very distinctive personalities and were pretty easy to train. They are very loyal and protective of people they are around a lot. Here is a picture of my two buddies. :)

Yeah... I didn't like them either. My Yorkie is big though... (for a Yorkie) about 15 pounds.

People that don't like dogs, like this dog. Everyone falls in love with him... he is not your typical yapper little dog... just sweet as can be, loves to play ball... he's just like a big dog... hangs out the window of the car.... he's a crack up....
 
I'm partial to boxers, because I raised them when I was a child.

Anywho, I recomend you get a conure. I like mine.

SoKlueless, did you have to get the dew claws removed on that lab?

My mother has a little Yorkshire Terrier. She's a little bitch, but I love that dog. I'd go with a Yorkie.
