Help me out...Ephedra Presentation...

I am doing a presentation on Media overreaction....how the media blows things out of proportion. I am just wondering if anyone can give me some good facts and or websites that would show the TRUTH of the harm or harmlessness of ephedra. Seeing as this is one of the more knowledgable places and agreeable places with regards to this topic...

I'd start by getting some stats on how many deaths are attributed to alcohol and tobacco (both perfectly legal and likely always will be), compared to how many were attributed to ephedra use.

I'd also check to see if the FDA has any info on it, as I assume they initiated the ban.

don't forget to mention that while ephedra is banned...ephedrine HCL is not....so the government accomplished basically nothing with this whole mess.

Look up the Rand Corporation's study on Ephedra, it is online...read it for the data. Then do a comparison between ephedra and various OTC's, acetaminophen especially.
