i need to make a jack in the box head for tomorrow night

right now i'm thinking a giant foam ball to start that i just cut headspace out of. does this sound feasible. maybe felt for the mouth. what could i use for the blue eyes that i could still see out of? do they have any chain crafts stores where people will help you if you explain what you need?

I'm guessing the eyes would be up further closer to the top of the jack head? And you'd have to cut inconspicuous holes nowhere near "Jack's" eyes?

That's a pretty big foam ball size...I think that would be hard to find.

Maybe you could paper mache one.

That's a good idea. I was thinking it might be kind of hard to breath out of the foam head? Or at least finding a balance between something breathable/ sturdy enough? hmmmm

I love Jack, but that is too much work. Here is what you do... go get a large brown hefty trash bag, glue a bunch of peanuts and corn on it, and go as a piece of shit.

Here a guy made a paper mache globe that looks pretty good from a big balloon and paper mache. You could do this pretty easy.

I went to a party supply store and bought the largest round balloon that they sold. It was $2.69. I blew it up to 31 inches across. I had to measure the circumference and calculate the diameter to make sure it would fit in and out of my doorway! (To get an idea of how large my globe was going to be, check out the size of an interior door.)
I tore a giant stack of newspaper into strips and mixed up some glue-flour water. Paper mache is heavy when it is wet, so I created a suspension system with twine encircling the bottom of the globe. It took about four hours to cover the balloon with enough paper to be a strong shell.

Unfortunately, the big balloon had a little expansion and contraction that it needed to do, and my perfect white sphere become a little bumpy. I did what I could the next day to fix it up.
