help me lose this blubber!

i'm 5'8, 158 lbs 30 inch waste, completely natural :( and have been an athlete all my life. which basically means that i've never had the slightest idea what a good diet consists of. i've recently joined this site and starting to do a shit load of research and am simply amazed at how ignorant i truely am. my lifts are great for my size: 330 bench, 475lb squat, 500lb deadlift but i'm nowhere near the shape i would like to be. i believe i'm level 5 or 6 and would like to reach 8 or 9. 10 being the best possible physical condition for myself.
i just had my bf tested and freaked. 14.9% OUCHE. and this is with a steady diet of 6 smaller meals a day except for a rather large breakfast. eating nothing but egg whites, tuna fish in water, flax seed, nuts, whole wheat bread, plain oatmeal, fruits and veggies. every meal consisted of either a protein and a fat or a protein and a carb. i based my meals on how i felt rather then counting calories or timing my meals. which i'm almost positive was a critical mistake.
anyways i wanna lose fat as fast as possible but unfortunately don't have the means of anabolic steroids. my goal is to get down to appxly 8-10%bf. i found a ketogenic diet off of www.t-mag.com. tell me what u think of the diet and of the web site or magazine. these ppl seem to really no there shit but then again its a company and half of the shit is prolly just advertisment. as about 50% of their diets curiously require the use of their product(s).
this diet will last for appxly 4-6 weeks depending on how iron willed i am. 5-6 meals a day which make up about 50-60% of resting metabolic rate. every meal consists of 1tbls flax seed oil and one serving of low carb whey protein blend. with the rare delicasy of substituting the protein shake with either a can of tuna, cottage cheese or a hard boiled.
supplementation is as follows: md6 to suppress hunger and fight lethargy, androsol to maintain muscle and ensure loss of weight is coming from fat not lbm. metamucil daily and peri-colace every second day to stay "regular"
cardio and weight training three times a week respectively.
so my questions are 1. will this diet work? if not why? 2. is it necessary to do cardio first thing in the morning on a diet like this? 3. any thoughts on t-mag? i mean these guys seem to really know there shit.
i greatly appreciate all imput. thanx

Several Points:

There is a Diet board I belive, use it.

You have eaten the way a lot of people eat - the AMAYM Diet (as much as you want). I would suggest that you take a good week and write down everything you eat, then take the time to analyze just how much protein, Carbs, fat, and overall Cals that you are getting.

Any diet (yes, ANY diet including a keto diet) will require you to keep track of eating anyway, so starting this by figuring out what you HAVE been doing will be a great start.

On keto diets, despite the beliefs of some, the overall cals ingested DO matter. You cannot take in too much or you will NOT lose weight., Likewise, if you do not eat ENOUGH you will not only start to lose lean mass but your overal weight loss will SLOW DOWN becuase your metabolism will slow down as well.

Despite popular belief, the main advantages of keto diets are:

A natural reduction in appetite

For a given caloric deficit, and given rate of weight loss, a Keto diet will tend to help you keep lean mass more than other diets.

If you wish to maintain performance in the gym, lose the least lean mass possible, I would suggest a Cyclic Ketogenic Diet (CKD). The book called "The Ketogenic Diet" by Lyle MacDonald is a brilliant work on this and many other diets.

But your first step is to figure out where you are - analyze what you have been eating.

BTW, work on your English too - "these ppl seem to really no there shit but then again..." ..

"no there" shit? Come on dude.

If you're using Androsol you're "legal" but not "natural." It sounds like you might have some estrogenic fat deposits. You might try the yohimburn product, or maybe an anti-estrogen like liquidex also. Take a look at the Keto diet. Many people swear to it.
