Ok, here's my take on all this.... I don't necessarily agree with the "don't take an A I unless you need it" philosophy... because when you do need it, it's likely too late to put yourself on a light course of a-dex, for example...you'll need something more potent to get rid of the gyno. The problem is, you don't really know when you're gonna need it unless you've had it before...you won't know if you're gyno-prone until it actually happens. For a few years, I ran cycles always assuming that I would never get gyno (though I always ran a low-dose A I all the time). Not too long ago, I decided to run a cycle without an A I and BHAM, I got a lump!
My opinion is this: always err on the side of caution...take the lowest dosage possible of whatever A I....especially when you know you're running aromatizing compounds or if you're running H C G during the cycle.
If you know you have gyno issues, a lump, itchiness, etc...then taking an AI is a no-brainer...beyond that, you may want to consider not taking something that aromatizes... or a strong progestin.
Just my 2 cents.
