Help me decide on a new car

I currently own a BMW Z3 3.0. I do want another convertible as from Nov to April the weather in South Florida is just gorgeous and you want to feel that open air.

I don't want another small convertible so give me some ideas. I looked at a Volva C70 and they are REALLY nice,, the only bad thing however is that they do not hold there resale value. In 2 years they have depreciated 50%. They are cheaper than a Mercedes 320 or 430.

I can afford a CLK 230 but again, I don't want a small convertible. What options are left?

lexus makes a sweet looking convertible. what do you do for a job man? every gay dood i know makes very good money.

The Audi TT hard top conv. or the Porsche Boxter Conv.

Audi TT and Porsche are way too small. Remember, that is why I want to get rid of my Z3. I do want an import. The Lexus is not worth the money. Test drive one and you will see what I mean.

I have also ruled out Toyota MR2 due to small size.

Jaguar is out of my price range, unless I buy a used one, and I don't like buying used anything.

On one hand though, I saw someone with a customized PT cruiser that was a convertible. Very sharp and unusual. wonder what I would be charged to customize a new one.

Poink - look on a thread here, someone else asked me what I did for a living. Basically I sell doctors to hospitals.

Naw.... I was under the influence of Nitro Tech when I was arrested. The charges were dropped.

Okay, help me out here guys.. OKAY>>>???!!!????

Remember in the second movie Jurassic Park 2... They had these Mercedes that looked like Jeeps? You know, two door, open top, (I can do without the winches on the front) but they were short and stocky in size..... who remembers what those look like? What model of Mercedes is that? I am looking for it now.

Come on and help me out here.

Anal, the Lexus SC430 coupe is probably the best out there right now. It's mid 60K range. it's a hard top but it drops...not a soft top convertible.

You probably don't fit in the Jag if you are over 6 feet tall. I just test drove it last weekend and it was tight. However, it is an amazing car - the convertible is mid 70K's new and they re-sell decently.

A used Jag might not be a bad bet. Jags are rarely abused.

The Jags and the Lexus both have decentlease options - if you throw a few extra grand down at lesae inception, you get it most of it back when it is over, and you get a btter rate of return than you would form most investments.

ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MERCEDES "JEEP" I DESCRIBED???

Matt, I have looked at the Lexus. My neighbor has one and they are about the same size as the Audi TT. I honestly want something with a backseat this go around.

The best car I've owned was a vintage 67 xke. There's no reason not to buy a recent used Jaguar (or any other good car), for exactly the reason you won't buy the Volvo. If you're gonna lease, that's a different story, of course.

volvo p1600
saab anything
porsche 911 turbo 98 or newer.
bmw M coupe
bmw M5

all of my dream cars - some expensive, some not.

They're discontinued but pick up a nice new Pontiac Trans-Am Convertible with Ram-Air, WS6 package, Monsoon sound, in pewter metallic paint. Whew...

How bout a Cobra Covertible in Sonic Blue with brown interior and tan top. Slap on the Ford Torque Thrust wheels, and make sure you get the MACH1000 sound system. 1000 watts of sound stock to play your tunes while cruising with the top down!

how bout a 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500KR. The KR stands for "king of the road." With 400+HP stock, it really is.

No, those are the SUV's. This one is two door and shorter, lower to the ground. Check out the Jurassic Park 2 movie. It shows it with a winch trying to pull the trailer those people are in back over the cliff.

Very short and sporty.

the smart car/a class?

Ya'll karma loving bitches betta get me sum info on that Mercedes.

YOU LUCKY FUCKING BASTARD!!! :)

I'm not sure how into performance you are. But You simply can not go wrong with a new vette. Although it may be a big step up in performance from the boxter or z3. It is a domestic but read any mags review of it and they will tell you for the money there is not a better performance car in the world. No back seat but there will be alot of cars befind you.

Happy - that's the G500, available over here for the first itme .... I think that is what he meant.

I would surely go with the Mercedes SLK32...amazing car, convertable, not small...there you go...
