i consider myself very lucky in that i've never had to work with anyone troublesome or that i didn't like (or at least tolerate without any problems). where i am now, at a large bank, i have to deal with users all the time...but they are not the stereotypical idiots with attitude problems. we're pretty much all helpful, professional, courteous here (in my limited experience). but i suppose one is less likely to run into crude 'tards on Wall St, as opposed to some other places.

Really? Do you work on fantasy island...haha! Where is this place? I want to work there ;-)

I emailed my new boss today and asked when SHOULD i be showing up at the office... he said he wasn't sure, he'd get back to me later in the week.

I know this sounds great, but... if they are paying me to not do anything, why wouldn't they let me go?

So far, while getting paid, i went clothes shopping and got myself some new black pants and a cool black and white top, worked in my studio, had lunch out, and went to lowes.

Ok so they have to keep you. Odd that they would not be asking you to come in. You did say this position was newly created? They are prob tying up lose ends and feel like nim-rods calling u in for an interview so soon. I would not sweat it.....don't get those black pants too dirty, you'll need them soon

the contract didn't have a time frame on it. I mean, it didn't say that i would be paid or employed for any length of time.
oh well. the top I got is cool though, and I got a matching hair band thing. very retro and mod.
anyway... don't sweat the stupid people. They have to live with themselves, where as you get to leave work and be rid of them.

I swear my job is so stressful and the people here are such IDIOTS that I am beside myself when they approach me with something.
One ahole just calls me from the receiving dept asking me where his "stuff" is. First off "What stuff" I place 100's of orders a day (I'm a buyer) and then he says "You're fucking wasting my time" then hangs up in my face!
So I imagine going to see him and saying (picture a female Rambo) "who was wasting who's time dirt bag" and then hitting him with the laser gun and he would disintegrate
Come on....we've all felt this right?
Am I going to hell for feeling this? I guess I would see half of EF there right?..hehe !

I was not talking about gunning anyone down? I was venting frustration at a co-worker's disregard at being very unprofessional with me.
Don't tell me you NEVER imagined wanting to zap someone that was in your face at work. Or anyone that get's you ticked?!

I am so far from being passive agressive that I would never allow others at work to disrespect me.
