I've never hit my wife but I did hit a girlfriend back in HS. Hitting on women is completely chicken-shit. Wife beaters are scum. My take on it is simple: Equal respect and treatment. If a woman feels that physical violence is okay and that she can hit me then she better be able to get hit back. I'm not talking about beating the shit out of her, just equal treatment. It's not okay for supposed "mates" to hit each other no matter what IMO.

Once, when I was about 14 a boy (that I had made out with the night before) told everybody that we had had sex. I was a virgin and even if I wasn't, HOW DARE THAT BASTARD?!?!?! I slapped him sooooo hard that he got a fat lip.

Other than that I have never hit a boyfriend nor been hit by one. There were one or two that "grabbed" me in a forcefull manner. I WAS OUTTA THERE.

As for me and my husband. He only hit me once in thirteen years.....that is when I kicked his ass to the curb. Did I fight back? What do you all think?
 
i am a walking piece of shit. women don't know that you truly love them unless you beat them. they have to recognize like when i come home and the fuckin potatos are burnt to shit and i apply a whooping. after that they see where they messed up and usually it never happens again. i hate doing it but i mean come on, how else can they learn??

ssme, so just curious then, if whenever your female friend gets angry at you and decides that she should slap, punch, kick,etc. you to display her anger, then what would you do? Just curious, because there are women out there like that.

With the exception of the first instance I listed, if a woman raises her hand to a man, she better be prepared to get hit back. Even if i were to walk in on my man fucking my sister (which would NEEEEVVER happen - she is waaaaaay better than that!) I would not raise my hand.

There is a Hungarian expression "Your hands should remain clean of filth".

Now self-defense, THAT IS ANOTHER MATTER ALTOGETHER! Any asshole hits me, he better hope that I die after the first punch. I may end up losing the fight, but I will make damned sure that that motherfucker is wounded, BUT GOOD!
 
wfab i've only had a woman try to hit me once and to be honest it enraged me like few things have in my life. i had moved my gf of a year and a half in with me, this was like 5 years ago. she moved up from san antonio to live with me in dallas and go to college and after the 10th day of us living together i realized i made a big mistake and just wasn't ready to live with someone i was in a relationship because of how trapped it made me feel. we were in bed at night talking about it cuz she knew i wasn't happy and i told her how i felt and she blew up and threw a punch at my melon. i remember blocking the punch bruce lee style and then bear hugging her to restrain her and basically told her not to try it again. she calmed down(relatively speaking) after that and didn't try to hit me again but the screaming and yelling ensued. i can fully understand why she was pissed but it was no reason to try and hit me in the face. it never crossed my mind to try and hit her and cause her physical pain, but rather restrain her to the point that she recognized that trying to fight me was going to go nowhere. it was effective. wish it hadn't gotten to that point though...
 
I don't encourage hitting women at all. I guess for me it's a little different (I am the youngest of three with two sisters) so we used to "brawl" all the time. It always pissed me off when women think that it's okay to hit a guy because men aren't supposed to hit women. That's fucked up. Women shouldn't hit men just as men shouldn't hit women. It's a respect thing.

Could NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!

There have been MANY times lately that I have wanted to haul off and hit a man (who would've FUCKING DESERVED IT)....these are feelings that I have NEVER HAD BEFORE. But I walked away. Not because I was afraid that the asshole would call the police. (They take domestic violence VERY SERIOUSLY in the state in which I live.) But because I do not think it is right for him to hit me......so I did not hit him. The words from his mouth were soooooooo vile and offensive (my children standing RIGHT THERE) that had I bitchslapped the motherfucker, a normal person would have given me a standing ovation. However, ESPECIALLY because my girls were RIGHT THERE.....I walked away. My hands are waaaaaaay too precious to be sullied by touching filth. They are the hands that caress and soothe my children's pain; much too valuable for trash like him.
 
I greatly admire that, Bikinimom. Most people (especially guys for that matter) are too proud to just walk away from confrontation. This does include me sometimes too. :)
 
Generally as a rule I don't believe in hitting women, HOWEVER once.......

the dumb ho said something to make me mad, she said somdin tht I couldnt believe so i grabbed the stupid bitch by her nappy ass weave, she started talking shit and wud't ya know i reached back like a pimp and slapped the ho, her father jumped up and started to shout so i threw a right cross and knocked his old ass out

Other than that one time Im a very loving mate.
 
My ex and I used to beat the daylights out of each other ... he had 30 pounds on me and always won though ... but, we're both guys so it wasn't such a big deal.

Hey May, personally I've only had one close friend that was gay. And it seem every guy he dated they would hit like that. Also I remember JohnnyO and Gabby and hitting going on. Is it a common thing amoung gay guys, just because they are both men?

I don't think I ever threw the first punch, but yes my first lover and recently Gabriel have been known to throw down a few times.
 
I would NEVER hit or push a woman. If she was being abusive, the first thing I would do is get her out of my life...though a good verbal comeback and subsequent ignoring of the person to make her think and feel guilty for what she has done, will work better than any punch would

The tables turned on me...i was in a car wreck a few yrs back(broke my nose) anyway its a sensitive spot my better 1/2 turned to say something elbowed me in the noze!!! had 2 black eyes from it the next day.....it was an accident however me-she had fun of the suitation especially after everyone found out she clobbered me....RADAR
 
What up Bmom? I know how you feel! I do feel your pain. I have never hit a mate or girlfriend, wouldn't think of it.

Self defense is different. You have every right to defend yourself and that was the best thing you could have done, kicking him to the curb and taking care of the matter the way you did. Way to go!

Kuda75, you obviously haven't run across any "hellcats" then. One of my older sisters is a big,big girl. I'm talking 265lbs, 5'6" and pretty built. Of course she's kinda fat but she is solid. To this day whenever we get around each other we start fighting and basically fucking around like kids. She is tough and I have personally seen her kick a big-guys ass before.

Anyways....men should never hit women and women should never hit men. Period. Unless of course the bitch won't get in the kitchen. j/k (that was a joke)
 
If my women is stupid enough to hit me (they'd have to be REALLY FUCKING STUPID), I'll do all I can not to hit her.....but I would if I had to.

We were both drunk, and he is a Jekyll/Hyde drunk. He started pulling major attitude on me, and I unfortunatley don't take any lip from anyone, and he's a stupid drunk, so I won the arguement.
He tried to get us thrown out by punching not one, not two, but THREE holes in the wall...I went flying out, grabbed him by the hair to stop punching the wall (Id kick him out before losing my apartment)...dragged him across the room
and smacked him upside the head.
I was expecting to get hit back, but I was so pissed that this jerk was ruining my life that I didn't care.
That was the turning point as far as his drinking. He realized how destructive he is when hes drunk.
Hes been much better since then....of course, telling him one more hole and his ass is out the door helped too...I don't make threats. Only promises.

I only hit men when I expect to get hit back. You don't want to lose your teeth, don't hit. But if some fucking behemouth picks on some girlygirl...then I'll go toe to toew with any moron to protect a girly girl who can't defend herself.

I could never hit any female, let alone my partner. I have, however, been in a relationship with a girlfriend who ahd a very short fuse and who used to hit me quite frequently, in the end she even attacked me with a kitchen knife, it was about then when I knew it was time to get out of the relationship.

Wow, I was going to marry an ex-beau until he raised a hand to me - I looked him straight in the eye and told him, "go ahead hit me just like your father beats your mother."

Lucky for me he didn't and I took the gamble on whether or not he'd do and he didn't, but the relationship ended right then and there.

I would fight back to defend myself but I would also walk away - I came from an abusive family so I do not have any tolerance for such behavior.
