HAve you ever heard the conspiracy theory about crack cocaine and the black race?

curling

New member
I don't know where I heard it but it goes something like that some whaco in the govt delivered crack cocaine to the ghettos to keep the black man down. Have ya'll ever heard that? Is there any truth in it?

Ask the CIA...they're the major trafficer of cocain into the country.

There was a guy on some talk show speaking of it... said it came from our govt... i dunno if i buy it or not.

That is who I heard it was but I didn't want to say their name in case I am ever coming back with some gear from mexico.

There was a case a few years back where the CIA was selling crack to finance arms in central America.

But it wasnt a conspiracy.. from what I remembered they actually got busted for it... was in the news... and somewhat well documented... I seem to remember it being quite a while ago though.

heard the same rumor....same for "aids"....these will be outlined in books occasionally- dealing with conspiracy theories....conspiracy for "aids" I believe....crack cocaine, I dont have an opinion on....cocaine has been used for such a long period of time throughout history, and used by many different cultures, that a different variation was bound to pop-up to increase the half-life and its effects....dont get me started on the other!!!

I heard that the CIA was selling gear to professional athletes and forcing them to take it by using bizarre psychological manipulations

I've heard that and it would likely be hard to prove. However, to quote Boyz in the Hood.....'why is there a liqour store on every corner in the Black community? Why is there a gun shop on every corner of our community? You go to Beverly Hills and you don't see that shit!'

The government also invented and delivered transfatty acids to the people in the US who had big bones.

This story started in 1997 with a series of articles by Gary Webb in the San Jose Mercury News. It's been debunked, but the story has a life of it's own and has achieved urban myth status.

The Black Panthers started this rumor in the late sixties.
They said the Government brought in cocain to the ghetto so that the black people would kill each other.

They fixed this flawed theory by introducing Air Jordans in the 80's.

I think that came out during Iran Contra.

"While drug use is consistent across all racial groups, Blacks and Latinos are far more likely to be arrested and prosecuted and given long sentences for drug offenses. Blacks constitute 13 percent of all drug users, but 35 percent of those arrested for drug possession, 55 percent convicted, and 74 percent sent to prison."

One of the arenas where mandatory minimums have the most notable effect is in the war on drugs. These statutes institute draconian penalties for what many would see as relatively minor, victimless offenses like the mere possession of crack cocaine. The disparity in crack cocaine versus powder cocaine sentencing laws has been well-publicized. Only five grams of crack (the equivalent of five Sweet and Low packets) will get you a five year minimum sentence, whereas it takes 500 grams of powder cocaine for the same sentence, despite the fact that studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association and elsewhere have determined that the two drugs are virtually identical in their effects. Needless to say, lower-income African-Americans are much more likely to be arrested for crack possession, while upper-income white people are more likely to be caught with powder.

Generally, I'm not real big on conspiracy theories but sometimes you do have to wonder. Surely the people who pass these laws must've considered who would be impacted and how.

This is for two reasons:
1.) Racial profiling.
2.) Stupidity.

This is consistent with the rumor that Church's Chicken was putting an infertility drug into the batter of the chicken so that black men who ate the chicken would be sterile, thus not be able to propogate the race.

Who the fuck thought this shit up?

racist vegans?

crack was just another by-product of cheaper methods to develope drugs.

pure cocaine was too expensive, so you mix a little bit of that cocaine with other shit like rat poison and bleach and all that other good stuff to make a cheap, yet potent drug for giving you your high.

blacks in america, empirically and socioeconomically speaking, are poorer than whites.... that is why crack-cocaine became so rampant amongst black neighborhoods, because it was cheap to make and provided a decent high.

This is a good a place as any to make my first post :D

Well, if this is all true, then the CIA is also disguised as fat bikers making crank in trailers, to keep all the white trash awake and twitchin

not only that, but black people and poor people in general do consume their drugs outside for the most part, where it's easier to get caught. I do all my cocaine snorting inside.

This reminds me of another social phenomena I have noticed:

The outdoors argument.

Two people, standing outside in the street, yelling at each other about god knows what, and not bothering to take it inside their house, which is located right behind them.

What ever happened to "I'll bitch slap my S/O in the privacy of my own house"?

I am confused I thought crack is made by boiling it with baking soda. What the heck does bleach and rat poison have to do with crack?

I think people use it to "cut" the cocaine so they can make more crack with a lower potency.

The CIA also fabricates these rumors (which are actually the truth) but then plant them in such a way that people like curling are the ones who "spread" them, thus virtually ensuring that no one will ever believe them in a thousand years.

Much cheaper and more efficient that actually trying to keep their covert ops a secret.

Did they also fabricate the one about Tommy Hilfiger declaring that he never intended his clothes to be worn by blacks, while making a guest appearance on Oprah?

well I think they made those crack laws as a knee jerk reaction to the supposed epidemic of crack cocaine. I remember daddy Bush giving a nationally televised speech that was showin in my highschool, and he was holding a bag of crack cocaine that was supposedly picked up a few blocks from the white house.

after that legislators went ape shit about crack and made all these fucked up laws. now nobody wants to lower the sentences for fear of looking "soft on crime".

what a load. the whole war on drugs is a joke.

also they don't want to raise the penalty on cocaine because they are the demographic for it.

Yes, they did because in fact Tommy Hilfiger has NEVER been on Oprah's show in the first place. (he's never been on Larry King either)
