Has anyone tried the ab energizer?

I'm think those things are a load of shit! Maybe they could help for recovery by massaging the muscles, but not to build them. I'd also like to hear some people's thoughts on this shit though.

BTW, my friend ordered one the other night when he was shitfaced...And he's quitting drinking because of it! That's how dissappointed he is with is. He's only used it a few times, but I thought that was funny.

But seriously, I know some guys in here say they don't even train their abs. Could it possibly work just to help get a little definition? Obviously not as a replacement for cardio and diet, but as added assistance?

Just curious,

IMO, anyone who uses that shit is a total LAZY ASS!!! Someone who wants to sit at home and not put any work into getting the abs that they want. The science behind it is good, but there are better muscle simulators out there. Get off of the couch and get to work!!!

What I like is how one commercial shows a device that "electronically" exercises the muscles, anbd the next one "electronically" massages the muscles... Hmmmmm, either one of them is shit, or both of them are full of it. I figure that if you are lazy and dumn enough to buy one, it serves you right if it doesn't do what they say it does!! Just my .02 is all. I'm done

I'd say if you are hell-bent on not doing abs...then this would be better than nothing.

But I think those Electronic Muscle stimulators are made more for the smaller supporting muscles, not large muscles like the abdominals.

When I had shoulder surgery, those EMS machines were part of my rehab program, before I moved on to light weight training. I think that was just to strengthen the core shoulder muscles, not to strengthen my delts or anything like that.

Thanks for the reply, Bulldog. That's what I was looking for. An unbiased comment with good information. Much appreciated.

AB ENER TULES!

I purchased an AB ENERGIZER, after being impressed by the physiques of the models in their commercials. It's great! After four months of use my abs look exactly the same, but they tingle now and even glow faintly in the dark.

Encouraged, I tried sticking a bobby pin in an electrical outlet while taking a bath. Whew! Talk about a rush! My biceps actually exploded -- a first for me -- which was pretty cool, although it took a while to get the mess off the ceiling.

Next time we get a thunderstorm, I'm planning on flying a metallic kite to get the ULTIMATE FULL-BODY WORKOUT. What a chump I was, going to the gym all these years!

Just like Dylan, bros, once you've gone electric, you won't go back! (ZZZZzzszZZZZZZzzzzz-SPLAT!!! There go my hams! What a feeling!!):fro:

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

I bought one. Worked fuckin great. me and my training partner would fuck around with it and see who could handle level 10. I was real happy with it for the first 2 weeks then the fucker broke and only works on one side. Cheap assed piece of shit. Save your money or wait for a better made one.

I'm a skeptic too. However, one of my friends with a decent build, not fat by any means, drinks though and claims he has the makings of a beer belly bought it and claims that after only a few weeks he has started to see his abs again.

I've never used it and think it's a scam too, but hey, if it's working for him, who knows. My girlfriends sister just bought one as well.

If she too notices results I'm jumping in and getting one ;)

Hey I have a FastAbs Deluxe, and I love it, put it on my abs and obliques during cardio... use it on arms and lower back too after training them hevaily.. What kind do you have Crimson? You can buy replacement pads real cheap on ebay. I bought the FastAbs Deluxe for $40, comes with 2 smaller pads for arms and legs, and one big that one supports two programmers. I think they are pretty good for strength, and to tighten and harden muscles, I am also an amateur boxer and tend to be able to take a punch to the abdominal region better.. Only trouble I would have is it burning my skin making it all red, I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and I have noticed tighter, stronger abs... not a huge difference with the arms though, but my lower back is a lot stronger too. And only good use of it is for strength knowing it only works isometric.. so fat loss and muscle building is almost out of the question.. although have heard of it taking off a few mm's of fat , maybe good before precomp? Well i hope this can help some skeptics out.... Peace

i bought the new ab energizer and wore it 24 hours per day for a week and my squat went from 600 to 715lbs. its the most amazing ab training device on the market today.

what a piece of shit! I have to spend alot of time sitting at a desk at work so I wanted to try one just to supplement the ab exercises I already do at that gym, I figured hell, I can't workout at work, but maybe I could get some supplemental ab work in, I returned the crap the next day, at the highest level it didn't even stimulate the ab muscles at all, although, I did wrap it around my arm and it did give my arm a pump, but the thing covers such a small area that only a very small portion of the muscle fibers receive the shock.

LIke i say, Get the FastAbs Deluxe system, it's $40 and a lot better than most of them out there except the abtronic, which has a better centerpiece but doesn't come with as much. Only real way it can work if you do the 3/2 routine, contracts 3 seconds, rests 2 seconds.... the one that just contracts every .5 seconds doesn't work very good... I can guarantee you chances are you will not be able to handle intensity 10 with the FastAbs dual programming centerpiece for veyr long. it works great.
