Great flick, highly recommended. Don't want to give too much away, but the basic theme is how the "Devil" is in the choices we make. It follows a detective in a crime drama/horror basically discovering for himself how "the Devil" works. It's one of those movies where the story actually sounds like it's trying to deliver an important message to people in general.
Whether one believes in God or not, it covers both ends. Which side people choose to fall on after is up to them.
For me personally it opened my eyes as to how the world throughout history can and has fallen on such polarized stances, from Crusade-like religious zealots to full-blown Atheists (and depending on one's viewpoints, has increasingly been leaning to one side as well).
The reveal scene is probably the movie's only subjective flaw, but was probably also done on purpose in case anyone still didn't "get it."
The Lord works in mysterious ways, but can bet your ass that so does the Devil.
