Has anyone read this book?

You chose to impregnate a lying slut, whom you barely knew. It had train wreck printed all over it from the word go. The fact she also happened to have a pain in the ass mother is more coincidental than causative.

That being said, in laws can be very difficult to cope with. The fact is, you fall in love with someone and marry them and you also get saddled with their family (unless you move far, far away). Occasionally it happens that you really like/get along with your in-laws, and your wife feels the same about your family, but honestly, it's pretty rare.
 
I bother because if I ever got back with her. rare chance but its possible.

MM - It sucks that her family is just negative. Her brothers and mom are just negative people and I dont want my son around that shit (assuming he is my kid - I find out Wednesday). My ex said she wants the baby to see her mom every day, and it makes me feel like im just an attachment to her family and not the head of MY family. I feel its fucked up that my son gets to see her mom every day and I dont. Fuckin makes me sick. My only 2 optinos right now are to either be with her and make it work and tell her she aint fuckin seein mommy every damn day, or get partial custody so at least I have some QUALITY time with my baby every other weekend.

This is all speculation, and assuming I ever got back with her, of course. In my honest opinion i think it would be stupid to get back with her after everything lol. Just sucks because we have a baby together and I wanted to be a family.
 
these are consequences of your actions. you knew the type of girl she was when you knocked her up*(TBD)

the reason i say why even bother is that you aren't going to read the whole book nor get the mesage the author is trying to present. like anything else your just going to skim through and read whatever you think best suits yourself at the time.

I wish you wouldn't get attached to that child. You're only going to break your own heart.

To her and her mother, you are an income stream and as long as you're useful (i.e., babysitting so she can keep going out and seeking the next revenue stream) she'll want you around. If she has a built in babysitter, she's going to put blockades in your path to limit your contact with the kid as much as possible because if you're a frequent presence in the house and around the kid constantly, you'll "scare off" the next potential male. Hard enough finding a guy who's willing to take on someone else's kid, nevermind having to deal with the kids father.

do you have money saved up to pay the test if it is yours? I think dads have to pay for it if positive, am i right?

You better start pay attention rob. If the kids yours do you really think your ex will be all agreeable with splitting time with you and the kid? You admitted yourself that shes a huge party girl, so having you in the picture will not be good for any guys she wants to get involved with and she knows that. Everything you do will have to be eventually court mandated. Shes a lying cheating bish and having a kid wont change that.

She wants to be a family. She wants to get back together and have me move in her 2bdrm house (700/month). She is NOT a party girl at all. She just goes to the same bar with her mom and friend every weekend. Its not even like you would imagine, its just dancing and talking. She doesnt drink often

I do wanna get legal custody even if we are together. But you are right bro, she is a lying cheating bish. Idk if i could ever get over that. Right now I just wanna be in my kids life (if he is mine) and let time decide whether I will be back with her or not. She wants to get back with me bad

a party is not a bar. Those are 2 different things

The bar they go to they know half the people there. Its a small bar in a small town and its nothing crazy but I still dont like the environment. Alcohol, loud single ppl

If I were to ever get abck with her I would make it CLEAR that she isnt going to the bar every weekend maybe once a month with her family, thats it. Fuck that, that wont happen. I would lay some ground rules if I ever got back with her. Things would be fucking different thats for sure.

And I agree - her mom is her best friend but fuck u got ur own family now, u dont need to go out to the bar every weekend with ur mom.

I think thats the point Glad is trying to make, not sure. I dont think thats what his ex would actually do on a normal basis but rathr its an avenue in which she spends time with her dysfunctional Mother.

Of course she does! it's easrier to be with the guy willing to work 3 jobs to support his family than to sleep around and try to find another baby daddy...
I find it interesting how 2 weeks ago she was a lying cheating whore who didnt take care of herself and partied and now you're almost defending her, of course we dont know her, we go by what you say and seeing how you're talking about her NOW as opposed to a while back it seems like she's getting on your sweet side... hope the baby isnt yours because if it is I'm pyetty sure you'll take her back....

I know its hard to resist that "lets be a family" stuff because you guys got your back up against the walls. She doesnt know who the dad is, shes cheated on the man she was supposed to marry (YOU), and she was going out drinking while in the critical pregnancy stage. If you know whats good for you then you will peace the fuck out after getting (hopefully) the negative PAT test. You know the bish is a gutdamn cum dumpster bor.

Also if you know whats good for your emotional health you will stop all contact with her until the PAT test is known. Once the PAT test is known, if its negative, cease any and all contact for good. Im talking drop her from FB, delete phone #, everything, or you just stand a chance of eventually getting sucked back in either through sex or sympathy or some other bullshit she will prey on you with.

Of course if the kids yours you could move in with her, not move in, be with her, not be with her, doesnt fucking matter because she will own your ass for 18 years.
