There is LOVE and there is INFATUATION...
I have to say I was in love twice in my life, as both times it took me 5 years to get over it. Infatuation doesn't last that long, maybe a week or two at the most.
Also, there is this favorite "male" excuse in America: "I love you, but I am not in love with you..." It doesn't make any sense to me.
In Russia we say: "There is one step from love to hate", but I would say instead: "There is one step from love to dissapointment."
Dissapointment destroys respect you feel for another making that person fall down in your eyes, then you loose trust... You love someone you don't respect... you don't trust... the person who lied to you and betrayed you?.. LOVE IS BLIND... But can you lie to yourself and say you fell out of love because he or she lied to you "last night"?..
No, YOU HAVE NOT fallen out of love... YOU ARE DISSAPOINTED...
