hanging leg raises

Is there where you hang and hold urself up and bring up knees up to your hips and hold then back down and keep doing it like that? If so are these any good for abs? and how much sets and reps of these should be done to work abs good?

its not about lifting your legs, its about how your pelvis tilts under as you pull your legs up. you want to think about pulling your knees up towards your chest and your lower back rounding under. then its effective for abs, otherwise your abs just act as a stabilizer and not a mover.

Yep - I used to do these often to hit the lower abs, as they weren't getting hit much from crunches and cable crunches.

Usually start off with these girls on my ab training days. Instead of bringing just my knees up I usually keep my legs staright, with a slight bend in my knees and then bring my legs straight.

We've got those loop things that you can rest your elbows in at my gym. I started doing these a little over a month ago.

I keep my legs straight and bring them up until I'm at 90 degrees. The first time I tried em I think I could do 6. I'm up to sets of 10 now. It's hard not to swing your body towards the end of the set tho.
