short, medium, long very long
Straight - curly
Straight across the back - angled taper down the back
all one length - layered



I'm getting my hair cropped tomorrow and it's very long, straight, no bangs, mostly all one length, long layers with a tapered angled back and I have a lot of hair - not fine - not thick.

Ideas?

i'm a total hair guy when it comes to girls, its the first thing i notice by far

love nice flowing shoulder length hair
 
hair has to be long or this Dawgy hits the bricks. I know its bad but I love long hair on a woman, its soooooo sexy!!!!
 
It's usually very sexy when a good looking woman goes from long, to say shoulder length. I love short hair on the right woman.

I also like curly.
 
I can do anything from GI Jane to Rapuntzel.....it's all good, baby. (however this thread is still useless without pics)
 
I have to have bangs for myself (I don't like my forehead)
I need layers cuz my hair is fine but I have a lot of it
I don't look good with long hair so I wear it shoulder length

Funny, I was just thinking about hair. I'm having a really good hair day and I don't want to get undressed to eventually go to sleep, because if I do, pulling my shirt over my head will disrupt the gel sequence.

So, I figured I would stay up all night and possibly into tomorrow, maybe all weekend so I don't mess it up. But after a while I think I'll start to smell like crap and will have to shower. But I know damn well I will not have another hair day like this for a long time. They just don't happen all the time to a guy like me.

I must have pissed off the hair gods once by calling all the chicks from NJ during the high hair stage of the 80's, "The Aqua-Net Queens".

Oh, and getting back to your original question...

Don't cut it too short, maybe just above shoulder length. Enough to allow you make a decent ponytail ( I love them, not that you care, we'll probably never have sex anyway). Straight or a slight wave to it is perfect. I not a big fan of bangs, but if you have to, I'll live.

I would have to see a pic of your face first....because the type of hairstyle does honestly depend on a womans face...
 
Ok.

My hair's below the boobs in the front and just above my waist at its longest in the back - it's just too long. Unless I wake up a pop star with my own crew of hair stylist - I need a new look.


I'm surprised at the amount of shoulder length comments. hmmm who knew.

It all depends on the face, and what kind of hair complements it.
 
If you trust your stylist-- I'm all for saying "do whatever you want". I've gotten some awesome and unique colorings and cuts by doing that!

Shoulder length or 1-2 below shoulders is fine. I really don't like really long hair, it gets out of control and more often than not long hair looks shitty (bad condition)

I don't even know what layered means, I just wanted to sound like I knew my shit. But I wouldn't mind being ZK's apprentice, i'm sure the girls flock to him.
 
i like it long, straight, no bangs. considering that your hair is already pretty long, i wouldn't go too short. stay below the shoulders. can't go wrong there really.

pics would definetly help.

(can you believe it? we're asking for pics and the requests aren't for your naked body! is this a first for EF?)

Velvett don't cut to much off it sounds great maybe two inches off the length and more layers.

It really is hard to tell you what kind of style without seeing your face...but I really think you should keep it long if you already have long hair. Maybe trim it, down to your butt is too long... I am a good judge of these things...it is a gift... :)
 
i like that look, but i would take a long flowing mane over it. i love a woman in a ponytail...a ponytail and a form fitting turtleneck. yum yums

Yeh ponytails (sports, hanging out, etc) are cool. But she needs to have long enough hair....

first off... that isn't short hiar bro. That's an updo. Sandra carries pretty long hair year round. She looked amazing at the oscars if anyone recalls...

Velv... i think the best place to look for good hairstyles is on The L-Word... Every chick on that show has a rockin hairdo, *save one. I like shane's hair the best but its' pretty rockstar.
 
I think that most women look better with long hair, personal preference. As for the style for you, I would leave it at least shoulder length, and maybe thin it out some. :)

An updo?? I didn't know we had a hairstylist here. My apologies...Sandra Bullock looked good at the oscars but usually looks like a man...Shane also looks like a man, bigtime...!! The hottest chick on that aweful show (my girlfriend makes me watch :worried: ) is the tennis player.

Velvy, check out the O.C. actors too, Summer and the mother on the show are the hottest...Good Luck.. :)

I love hair!! But it's a pain in the butt...
I've been going to the same guy (yes guy!) for the past 7 years! I refuse to go to anyone else. He's great with my hair - only thing, his salon is soooo disorganized. You make an appointment for nothing! But the quality is good. I went to this one place about 3 years ago, (someone referred me) & had this woman cut my hair...I told her that I only needed a trim & that keeping my layers was necessary. She cut about 4 inches off & ruined my layers...I was so pissed...I yelled @ her & didn't pay for it. NEVER AGAIN! LOL... I can't help it, I love having long hair & don't mess with my layers!
Good luck w/ the cut!!

My wife has had long hair for a very long time. It's about to the middle of her back. I like long hair a lot, but it can be a pain for us both. For her washing it is a pain, and she always has to comb it about 4 times a day. I find long ass hairs everywhere. They always seem to find their way right between my ass cheeks for some reason. Also if she uses my brush it feels really gross combing my inch long hair with all those long hairs sticking in brush rakeing across my head.

I've tried to talk her into getting a shoulder lenght cut but she just can't bring herself to do it. She also looks really young as it is, so getting it really short would make her look about 12. Maybe I could talk her into the hair cut and a school girl dress??? :chomp:

My wife always had long hair and curly. Now she`s shortened it, few inches below shoulders and straight. I like it but always tell her to cut it even shorter. I like the straight short-er look, also easier to manage.

My hair strangles me at night and I can't deal with sleeping with it up.
Takes me about 10 minute 2-3 times a day to de-tangle.

I'm so excited you have no idea.
