Hack squats ?

reminiscent

New member
Alright well although I have been eating poorly I'm trying to better that. Even if I screw up and eat too little during the day before workout I have 1tbsp peanut butter and after the same. For legs I never really did them at all. On my bench I have underneath the preacher curl spot a lift for the legs. Now for the hack squats is it possible to do them with an EZ curl bar? I screw up the technique a lot and am having a hard time doing them. At 185lbs I'm just starting out how much weight should I do? Any other leg exercises recommended? I have a barbel ez curl bar dumbbells etc.

Also any good exercises or workouts you guys recommend for losing abdominal fat and "love handle" area fat gained when I stopped working out?

Thanks in advance!

For cutting, I would recommend any form of HIIT routine, be it sprints, barbell complexes, or whatever. Spot training is a myth, so anything that burns fat effectively will burn love handles.

As far as the rest, how tall are you? 185 at 5'6" is quite a bit different than at 6'6". For any kind of leg training, standard squats are your foundation. There are many permutations of the squat, but there is no substitute for the traditional, full squat. Unfortunately, I am not seeing you getting very far with doing those with an ez curl bar.

185 at about 5'9. I have a barbell and the only reason regular squats are difficult is I can't afford the price or room for a power rack. I know it's very hard to estimate how much weight I should use, but starting out never doing any squats before, what should I toss on the barbell for hack squats around? (when I am able to go to the gym I will do regular squats, but I want to get off the ground and start doing legs now)

You could do Zercher Squats if you cant afford a power rack, they let you deadlift the weight up and get it into position, then start squatting...
