Gyno Surgery

FreakMonster said:
If you want your insurance to cover never tell the doctor it's from steroids because your insurance will not cover it. Just go in and tell him that you have had the gyno since you were in your teens and the all the sudden it started hurting very bad. Just keep telling him it hurts really bad. The medical term the insurance companys go by for the gyno surgery is Bilateral Biopsy

good answer.i knew what was wrong with me but i did not tell the doc.so insurance covered it becuase he thought it might be cancer so he did the surgery to remove it and do a byopsy to make sure.it was all covered by insurance.

Gyno surgery will only be covered if there's pain invovled, even then it's rare.

to expound on DTs point, plastic surgery will usually be covered if it is medically necessary.

i had to have upper eyelid surgery earlier this year because my eyelids were drooping heavily for a guy my age. this is called ptosis and caused by weakening of the muscles that control your eyelids. people were constantly telling me how tired i looked. it drove me crazy!

at my annual eye exam my optomotrist recommended i see an opthamologist to correct this because it may start to affect my vision. this procedure is basically an upper eye job and could be considered cosmetic. the opthamologist office submitted my case to my health insurer for approval and it was approved.

the surgery cost about $4000 and i had 10% copay. i am very happy with the results. btw, the operation was easier than going to the dentist. i was in and out of the eye center in less than two hours.

Awesome guys, I will definitely be looking into that! And like Mstiqi said so painfully and sincere; breasts, what the fu#k! I was suppost to grow out of this sh#t... Maybe, minus the curses, but with full drama...
*You guys have helped again! Sincerely B

I am getting mine done Friday. I went to my doc and complained of soreness and he referred me to a endocrinologist. from there the endo-guy said there wasnt much medicine could do but remove the tissue. he referred me to a plastic surgeon. my insurance did not have him in their network. so I got with my insurance co. and found what plastic surgeons were in the network. they gave me a list of them and I consulted with my endo-guy and family practice doctor to get referred to the best one. I made sure with insurance about it being covered. the endocrinologist dictated in my records about extreme pain being almost unbearable. This is what got it paid for. just work your doctors together and offer to do some footwork to get it all set up and you should be ok. by footwork, i mean, getting phone calls made and taking names, etc... took insurance co. 2 weeks to approve it. also getting umbilical hernia operated on same day by a general surgeon. hope this helps! BTW I also have M-plan insurance

Georgie has some good info on this as well guys. Thanks for sharing everyone.

I have heard that as well, that you should NEVER tell them that you have juiced, however for many of us its quite obvious, and dont that doubt that a doctor wont pretty much call you a fuckin liar.

I had a "bad" almost near electrocution, an extreme shock that really fucked me up. I went into a doc cause they wanted to check me out to be sure. The first thing that the doc asked me was if I was a steroid user (an older guy). I thought, that maybe its important that I tell him the truth, but thought ,.. fuck that, if I need anything done to me, I dont want this going down on my insurance records. I told him no, he insisten it was important I tell him the truth here, I stuck to my guns, then he goes on to say .. "I think that you are lying to me". The fuckin gall of that bastard.

Anywhoo .. I would listen to these folks. Get a good RECOMMENDED surgeon. I have heard of some pretty nice horror stories of people getting even worse fucked up from the surgery, and having some very nice scars as well.

Good luck bro,
Mavy
