Gyno Surgery

For those with experience, what doctor do you go see about gyno symptoms? I've heard several different options and I was curious if anyone has any comments about the benefit of one specialist versus another.

I've always heard you should go to a plastic surgeon instead of a general surgeon. Only thing though is if you want your insurance to cover it you will have to go to a general surgeon. You don't want to take chances of someone fucking up your gyno surgery so I would recommend getting a good plastic surgeon who has done many breast surgeries on men. I would not go to a doctor who has only done a few of these surgeries.

exactly, freakmonster is right, dont just go to anyone, make sure its an experienced plastic surgeon, and also one that has done this same type of procedures on men. he will/ can show u pics of other men that he has done, before and after.

please go to someone who knows what they are doing.i let my normal doc do mine and he carved me up like a thanksgiving turkey.now i need to have the same sugry again and i am defenatly not letting him do it again.

plastic surgery and insurance coverage are not mutually exculsive. do not get the wrong idea that a procedure will not be covered just because a plastic surgeon is doing it. if it something that may or may not be covered, the plastic surgeon will submit your case to your health insurer for approval.

Gyno surgery will only be covered if there's pain invovled, even then it's rare.

Lots of good advice, I too am looking for my insurance to cover the sugery. Untell I can find someone, I'm srewed. When I was in Asia over the summer doctors gave me half the cost of American price. And I've been told they do way more over there and their the experience is what sells them. But hey, hope someone else has some more good advice.

If you want your insurance to cover never tell the doctor it's from steroids because your insurance will not cover it. Just go in and tell him that you have had the gyno since you were in your teens and the all the sudden it started hurting very bad. Just keep telling him it hurts really bad. The medical term the insurance companys go by for the gyno surgery is Bilateral Biopsy

I have not tried 60 mgs/day of nolvadex. I've had gyno since puberty, and was hoping I could get insurance to cover it. I have blue cross, none of this HMO crap. Thanks for the input guys!
