Gyno Surgery??

Country Boy said:
I would recommend having a plastic surgeon perorm this operation. I had it done and will have to live with extreme scars on both sides b/c I didn't go that route. The doc also took out so much that my lower chest is indented. I think I can build it back up in time, but it's been a few years and the indents are still obvious. Just make sure you avoid these problems if you go the surgery route.
I also agree w/dr jk, nolvadex will not get rid of glandular tissue.

Good luck

have you considered seeing a plastic surgeon now to repair what the other doctor did to you? it is hard to picture what your chest actually looks like from your description but it sounds like a botch job and a valid malpractice suit. did you ask this doc if he could repair?

plastic surgeons can do amazing things these days. i understand expense may be a factor but why live with that?

You bring up valid points glennds. "Botch job" is a valid description. I will certainly have this fixed by a plasti surgeon once I have the money to do so. I've had a couple laser treatments for the scars, which has helped to some degree. The problem is that the doc took out too much (including some fat) which is why I have the indents. I think with hard work I can build them back up with muscle.
Regarding a malpractice suit, I am fortunate to have the the procedure covered by insurance. Never really checked into that avenue. Maybe I should?

malpractice suits are a tough route. before going thru that why not make an appointment with the doctor that performed your surgery and ask if he can repair it. your insurance will cover the appointment. if not, maybe he can refer to someone that can, maybe even a plastic surgeon. insurance may even cover your procedure. the plastic surgeon will submit your case to your insurer for a review. the worst thing they can do is decline it.

insurers will cover plastic surgery if it is considered medically necessary. i had upper eyelid surgery just last week to correct droopy eyelids (ptosis). my insurance covered it because it would eventually affect my vision. i am thrilled with the results. i cannot believe how easy the whole thing was. :)

Thanks glennds, I appreciate it!
Glad to hear you're surgery went well.

I'll let you know how things end up on my end.

go ahead and make the appointment CB. i bet your condition is easily repairable. let us know what happens.

thanks for all the great advice fellas, its really appreciated. my gyno is puffy AND lumpy, but wil try nolvadex at 40-60 for a few months before considering going under the knife after hearing a couple of these horror stories. To those who got it done: How long before i'm bak in the gym?
