Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below Had gyno surgery last wednesday with Dr Bruce Nadler out of Smithtown NY. Results so far are promising apart from one side of my chest is holding a lot of water which Nadler drained once before I came home (I travelled from the U.K for the surgery). I know a lot of you have had surgery recently and wondered if anyone had tried to drain fluid on there own, obviously travelling back to the states to have this done is not an option. Thanks.

Damn, you went a long way for surgery. I had mine done by a local doc. Did you have an excision done or did he use lipo only?

Evenutually the fluid will reabsorb. I've already been back twice to have drained since May 7th!!! I've had over 500 cc's drained and actually need to go back again. Since you live so far away, the doc should have installed drains in you from the start
I opted not to have them put it b/c I have easy access to the doc - best of luck to you.

The Doc did actually put drains in from the start, I had the op on the wednesday and flew home on the Saturday so the drains came out sat morning.
Plifter, I had the excision with lipo also. He took out most of the gland (each piece of tissue was approx 2.5" long & up to 1.5-2" thick) but left enough to avoid the sunken nipple look. The reason I went to Nadler in the U.S was that I had the surgery here in the U.K about a year ago and the Doc told me I only needed lipo and to be honest he really fucked it up. I was told how good Nadler was and decided to get it right once and for all.

Im from LI, and didn't hear about Nadler until after i had scheduled my apointment for surgery. I wish i would have went with Nadler, even though im pretty sure my surgeon did a good job.
Mr-T, how are your nipples looking? Are they still puffy and swollen?
I had a post a few days ago about how i was very nervous because it's been 3 1/2 weeks since my surgery and my nips are still puffy.

Stephen, not sure how long the tubes would have been left in had I not had to fly back, probably to my post-op consultation (which I think he usually sets for 6-7 days after the op under normal circumstances).
I am wearing a pressure garment although he took some extra padding out at my post-op and I am under the impression I wear it night and day 4 weeks post-op although I intend to check this with Dr Nadler.
