gyno surgery question

I found only the abstract online. However, I have found other abstracts as well. The point is it is effective...but not for everyone. You may be one of those that require surgery. In either case, having had a small gynecomastia lump myself from puberty that enlarged around the age of 20, I had it removed. About 3 years later it grew back, and I had it removed again. About 4 years after that it grew back again and I went the tamoxifen route...I have been lump free and pain free since with no recurrence even after having been off tamoxifen for many months.

try tamoxifen (Nolvadex) therapy first.
Tamoxifen 20 mgs. t.i.d., p.o. (every 6-7 hours). Continue this for up to 3-4 months. After symptoms have subsided (could be as early as 4 weeks), you can go to 40 mgs daily in divided doses every 6-7 hours.

If you don't see any reduction with this after 2 months then I would look into surgery.

If you have any more Q's, let me know.
What does t.i.d and p.o mean? Sorry Im still tryin to pick up on the acronyms.

didn't know you posted here Dr bermant :)

I've seen your site before.

I do realize that some gland is left (as to not indent the nipple) but can all the gland that is causing the distortion be removed?
A significant amount of gland left behind really shows on the flexing male chest. How the body moves is very important. That is why I document before and after how the body moves. You can see static versions of this documentation on each patient on my website (arms over head, arms at side, arms on hips chest muscles flexed and relaxed.) That is why I target the gland first during my dynamic sculpture technique. I prefer to get most of the gland out and then sculpt the remaining fat.

Hope this helps,

Michael Bermant, MD

as the good Dr. Bermant has already explained what t.i.d. and p.o. are, I will address the other Q's.

off the top of my head Id say tamoxifen is probably a schedule IV or V drug. It is a prescription medicine. But, if you're in Mexico you shouldn't have to worry about a prescription.

Im saying a total of 60mg a day (20mg three times a day).

in Mexico the generic is tamoxifeno. it is fairly inexpensive. there is a popular Mexican generics company (Victory Enterprises) that makes a 10mg pill available in bottles of 50 or 100 (white bottle/label with dark green writing) they call it "Tamoxate".

good luck.

just bout it, asked for Tamoxate didnt have it asked for the active ingredient tamoxifeno, and they gave me Nolvadex thanx for all the help

Wouldn't something that existed since puberty be an actual lump and not just swelling? I can't see how tamoxifen would help break up a lump. I mean prevent one, but actually break one up?

There was a post in the past about a gyno killer cycle that involved injecting something (??) directly into the lump.
