Ok.. I have a gym buddy that is going to have gyno surgery in the future.

He has a BAD case. 99% is from puberty. (don't know if that makes a difference or not). Now unlike most gyno.. his doesn't make his nipples stick out. He says it did when he was in high school. Now it is like a very broad lump that has expanded from under his nipple area to cover the outer side of his pec as well. (I will have to do a picture to illustrate. Give me a minute or two after posting this to do so)

As I said, you can't tell he has gyno because he has done two things to make it so :

#1 Only worked upper chest and just a bit of middle chest. He does not do decline work, cable flyes, dips, etc..

#2 Carries a bit of fat on him to disguise the lump somewhat.

Here are the questions :

Should he stop his cycle how far in advance before the surgery? Wouldn't it make sense to keep his muscles as big as possible so the doc has an idea of how it will look when he juices back up?

Should he start trying to burn as much body fat as he possibly can prior to surgery? Just to get it off? Because the only reason he has not leaned out previously is because the gyno would really show then. His goal after surgery is leaning out.

I think there is a world famous doc in Miami somewhere that does gyno work. Not sure of his name. But I have heard him mentioned as "the man to go to". Anyone know?

What other advice can you give (if you had the surgery) that most docs don't tell you?

Here is the best pic I could do.

#1 represents how "normal" gyno is.

#2 Is how his is. All spread out to the outer pec.

Get as lean as possible beforehand, ideally to the level that you plan on maintaing for the rest of your life. This way the surgeon will have an exact idea of what they're sculpting. As far as being on, not a good idea if general anesthesia will be used, which is probably the case for severe gyno. If he decides to stay on the juice, make sure to notify the anesthisiologist, *this is the safe way to do things*. If you don't tell you probably won't have any problems but it will certainly complicate the anesthetists job.

Dr. Bermant is a prominent name, he's based in VA I believe however.

After two surgeries from gynecomastia that started from puberty, I had the lump grow back each time. Mine was a large lump that spread out like your friend's. I then tried tamoxifen at a loading dose of 20mgs 3 times a day (every 6-7 hours - total 60mgs/day) for about 6-8 weeks.
Then, I reduced the dose to 20mgs 2 times/day (every 8-10 hours - total 40mgs/day) for another 4-6 weeks.
Then, I reduced the dose to 20mgs/day total for another 4-6 weeks.
That was over 2 years ago and the gynecomastia has NEVER returned since. Tamoxifen is much less invasive than surgery. No anesthesia required, no cutting, no expenses that insurance might not cover. I'd recommend taking tamoxifen to anyone before recommending a surgical procedure.

Your friend should take a look at CEO's post. He doesn't need surgery. Nolva can cure him of it. He should start at 60mg/day and just stay on it a few months, off cycle of course, and that will very likely be the end of it.

I am about to start a cycle of:

WK 1-10 EQ 400 mgs
WK 2-10 DECA 200-300 (mostly for my joints)
WK 5-10 Winny 50 mgs EoD
...along with Y ES around the chest with morning cardio.

My question is i have had gyno since puberty and was hoping that cycle would help at least get rid of some fat around my chest, but from reading this thread could i also take some nolva during my cycle to help out. I was planning on doing basically what CEO posted during my pct, so should i wait until PCT only for nolva or go ahead and start with the cycle, will it hinder gains any????

I agree 100%....I tried something a bit more aggressive and it worked great.
I did this....

Femera 2.5 mg EOD weeks 1-12{Novartis Pharm grade}
Nolvadex@40mgs per day weeks 1-12
Dostinex@1 mg per week 1-8

Worked like a charm.

I would use 20mg/day of nolva every day of that cycle and then when you're all done with everything go to 60mg/day and get rid of that gyno.

No it won't hinder your gains.

Thanks for the quick reply i will definatly go that route.

Hey Bros,

Here is the thing with gyno. Once you got it, you got it. I got my gyno from my drol and sust days. My nipple area started to swell up and then I started to lactate. Black watery liquid would ooze out from my nipple when I squeezed it. Anyway, I hit the Nolva with a vengeance and magically it went away. I was so happy. I stayed off juice for 3 years and was fine then wham!!!!! Out of know where it started to come back. This time in both my breasts. This time however my nipple wasn’t puffing up it was my chest area around my nipple and to the left side of my chest. The only explanation for the return of the gyno was that my diet sucked and I wasn’t working out. I jumped on the Nolva again thinking that it would solve my problem. Wrong. It got so bad that I had to use medical tape to flatten out my breast so that I didn’t look like I had tits under my shirt.

I worked out and lost a lot of my fat but my gyno was still there. With my shirt off it actually looked worse. But my plastic surgeon said that losing the weight was helpful in aiding him in his surgery. By the way I used Dr. Bermant and was very pleased with his work. He is a member of this board as well.

Bottom line your friend will eventually have to take it out. Especially if he is going to use the sauce. Have him continue to workout and loose weight. Drop Dr. Bermant a line and I am sure he can give you more detailed info.
