Gyno op in 2 weeks - preserve muscle???

Gurrr

New member
Hi, i've been making good progress with my 5x5 routine and have put on some lean mass.

I got my confirmation date to remove my Gyno on the 6th June 2006.

My question is,
How can i preserve the muscle i have whilst i recover and ensure i put on minimal bodyfat?

Obviously, i'd be unable to workout for around 5/6 weeks but should i carry on taking Protein shakes.
What do i do?

man f*** that, i had surgery on both sides, and each time i was only off the weights a week......it dont hurt it is a very basic surgery

that's great to hear cuz i'm having the surgery next month. What are your chances of gyno coming back again, if you take in the account of not using the steroid that caused it in the first place? Let us know how your surgery goes bro.. I'd love to know how painful it is on a scale of 1-10.. I have had 2 surgeries in the past and they both hurt like hell!

Oh and as far as your initial question, work out all the way up till the day before your surgery, and then just like you said, take your protein shakes and believe me, once you feel better, hit the gym again and you should be fine.. I did 3 months of extreme cardio and hardly lifted at all. ran a short 5 weeker test cycle to regenerate my muscle lost and i'm about 80% there..so I think 1-2 weeks won't kill ya that bad :)

Thanks for the reply, i hope it dont hurt.
Surgery next Tuesday (6/6/06!!!)
I developed gyno naturally at puberty age. I'm now 26. Thats almost 12 years of suffering hopefully coming to an end.
I'll post feedback when i return.

Thanks for advice. Will carry on taking protein and just cut the carbs. Will do my 5x5 routine til Fri this week and maybe a light session on Sunday then i go in on Monday :worried:
