Gynecomastia Costs/Effectiveness?

Lee

New member
I have moderate gynecomastia on my left pec and mild on my right. I can feel the large glandular growth in my left pec and a smaller one in my right. The size difference is noticeable in a mirror and makes me very uncomfortable in public. I was wondering what the average cost was to get the glands removed/reduced and some fat removed as well. And also, what are the chances of regrowth?

heres a questions for the docs, are both of you cutting the fat out or any of you using lipo. Why would you do one and not the other?

One of my friends had the surgery for the left side and now has an issue with the right side, which seems to be worse. He has tried arimidex, nolvadex, fermara, etc. and nothing works.

The last surgery was about ten years ago and he said he had a drain tube for a day or so and it was very uncomfortable for a few days. Is this the same procedure still, where you will need a drain tube, etc. or has it changed ?

Thanks

No, the operation has evolved quite a bit over the past 10 years. My patients tell me that the comfort after surgery is like a heavy workout. Although I give each patient a script for pain medication. Most find that Tylenol alone is more than enough for their discomfort after my gyencomastia surgery.

Drains after surgery can be uncomfortable. I have evolved my technique that drains after my gynecomastia surgery are very rare and I need them in less than one percent of my patients.

Hope this helps,
