anyone of you fags that actually work out ever acquire (is that the right word??) friends in the gym?

I have acquired lots of "whats up/sup" chins from peeps ...and a cpl of peeps that talk to me in the gym cuz were there at the same time/days

do you ever friend these people up legitimately?

my old gym no one ever spoke or made eye contact

recent gym friend is a firefighter/gorilla with a shaved (aas?) head
super nice guy

Being in the south, I find tons of social people in the gym.

The trick is to avoid the sticky people who you can't escape from.

so far Ive only got one dude that "sups" at me that I don't like...and probably because hes an arrogant ass and his bmw is way nicer than mine..and he never puts plates back where they go

it's a cardinal sin to date/hook up with girls from the gym, especially the ones that actually work out..

reason being, when it's over, it's over, and good gyms are hard to come by..
 
I'm friendly with most people from the gym. Provide advice (only when asked) and have a few aquaintances that now talk to me when I run into them anywhere.

If someone really seems in the zone or has headphones in I leave them alone. Other than that I chat, but when my rest period is over, I go right back into a set and I don't expect others to wait just because I'm talking.
 
If a chick's on the pec deck, I'm checking out her tits. Isn't that a given?

Plus, if she's doing T-bar or bent over rows, I'm looking down her top. AND, when she does deads, I check out her ass.

Why would any chick be spending so much time on her body if she didn't want me to look?
 
Most people here in NY are gyms are douchebags, but I have made a couple friends at the gym through the years.

Yeah at my old gym I made a lot of "gym" friends. Although many are like minded in working out most weren't like minded in life. I.E. outside of the gym I don't have a regular occasion to speak with a lot of strippers. I learned quickly that strippers come with a lot of drama. I try to be drama free so yeah that didn't workout.

As for the guys that I made as "gym" friends they either wanted to fuck me or were criminals. Dating someone you go to the same gym as often brings drama and well of course crimals bring drams into your life.

If I meet people at the gym that were like minded in life IE had a job and goals outside of getting huge that be great. To date maybe only made a few friends from the gym that were like that.
 
My best guy friend used to work the counter at my old gym.

My best frien went like every day. She had a huge crush on him and I did on the other guy who worked at the counter, but he was significantly older. All 4 of us exchanged numbers at some point. Nothing ever happened btw her and him but he's my real life man-bestie. I took iggz to his wedding. :)

It's slightly weird now bc his wife doesn't like that we always hang out alone, but we do anyways.

None of us have heard from the other guy, the one I liked....that is until last week when I saw him doing community service at my museum. Lololol
 
I joined my gym in 1998 and the first yr made a lot of friends there, Then I realized it was becoming a social event and not a place where I can focus.
Everyone faded out, I stayed and now I just keep my mp3 on and work out.
Here and there men will try to talk to me, I'm polite but keep it short.
One old Indian man at the gym is always talking to me about his sick wife. He saw my card at the gym and tries to get me to give him "freebie" consults at the gym. He's a pain in the butt! I avoid him now. The gym is my haven and I don't want to know nuttin.
 
I go to a meat head gym, nobody gives a fuck and everyone is pissed off on hydros and roid rage. it's great, we only have fights
 
There's somebody at my gym that I want to fight. One of these nights I'm going forget I'm an adult and drop a deuce on him while he's benching.

There's 2 dudes at my gym that argue with each other every night. They sound like an old married couple, only young and immature. There's a lot of: "fuck you fag", and "you're the fag, bitch".

Yeah, and they look to be in their 30's already too. They get pretty loud sometimes. There's been several occasions where I thought they were going to trade some blows. I never hear what they are arguing about. I don't notice until they start calling each other bitch and fag loudly.

I'm afraid that I'm the same. I go there, do my shit, then leave.

Lately, I've taken up running. It's nicer because it's just me and my mp3s.
 
I have aquired many friends from the gym. Only one very good friend. Many I socialize with but really only one that is a part of my life.
And I do really kind of agree with dating from the gym or whatever. My wife and I have seperated and trained at the same gym now I had to move because I dont want to be around her even though our seperation is friendly I just rather not.
When it comes to working out. People around me know I don't chat while I workout but will give people all the time they want before or after a workout.

Every time we had fights at our gym it was my asshole ex who started them.



My best girlfriend I met at my gym.

I've given up on making guy friends there cause they are just trying to get laid. I had a guy "friend" for nearly 6 months, we hung out all the time, then all the sudden he was interested.

He's the one that always insisted we were just friends so I thought we were on the same page.....apparently not.
 
ya...I'm not looking to date out of my gym..I'm married, plus its my husbands gym...double no way

I've kind of abandoned the idea of friends at the gym after this though
