Gym costs......

it depends on the area the gym is in-The nicer the area, the more they can get away with charging

I'm at a big commercial gym... (ex)fiance pays 50 CAD a month, i'm a secondary member to him which means that i pay 35CAD... i believe in Dec it will be our 1 year anniversary there so he can quit, go under me and pay 18 CAD... (which is probably what we'll do dispite our recent parting of ways...)
I actually jusr rejoined my gym this month and it was $350 for 14 months. It is open 24 hours M-F and till 8 on sat and sun. It has all that other stuff too such as classes, yoga, sauna, free childcare and a seperate women's section, which I think is stupid, but that is just my opinion. Overall, I think that it was a good deal. Oh yeah, I should mention that it is under new ownership, so they are trying to beef up membership.

I pay $39/mo. for 2yrs and then I get the 3rd yr for free. My free yr started in July. I am thinking about going to the YMCA, once I check out the equp there to see if it is legit. If so, I will go there because then I avoid the contracts.

WOW brwnidgrl!! 24 hrs!! I wish there was Gym here that was open like that.
There are times when I can't sleep and I would LOVE to go workout, but I can't because the Gyms are closed. My Gym hours are 6a-9p M-F; Sat 8a-3p; Sun 1p-5p Those hours suck! I have to be @ work by 7a M-F. We are supposed to be getting a Powerhouse Gym here, I cannot wait to see what their hours will be.

I have to be @ work by 7a M-F. We are supposed to be getting a Powerhouse Gym here, I cannot wait to see what their hours will be. You may be in luck when the Powerhouse gym gets to your area. There is one near me, not the gym I belong to however, that is open 24 hours. There are actually several, I believe that are 24 hours on Long Island, so maybe it is a 'thing' with Powerhouse. Hopefully, it will be open 24 hours.

I go to a Gold's Gym which is great in some ways and sucks largely in others.
I pay $250 annually.
There is no pool, sauna, group exercise classes, or childcare.
They DO have a room with toys and a TV for kids, but it's not supervised. My 4 year old is mature and trustworthy enough to hang in there by himself. Plus, I can see the room, so I can monitor who goes in and comes out at all times.
The gym is SUPER CLEAN, staff is very cool - with the exception of the one chick mentioned in my other post
- and it's VERY close to my house. Open until 10 M-Th 9 on Fri, 7 on Sat and 9-5 on Sun. Also have tanning beds..($30 for 10 visits)
The equipment is impeccable and replaced/repaired promptly as needed. The owner is a bodybuilder (the dude is HUGE) so he's pretty meticulous about that type of stuff.
All in all I can't complain. We even got air conditioning this summer

Family membership is $495.00 per year. BUTTT....My hubbies company pays half (new company policy) YIPPY!

Wow ....some of you have some great deals....BG girl, Vixen,Browneyedgirl.....one good thing about ours is it is 5 minutes from our house

government really doesn't have anything to do with currency exchange... (well they do, but they don't pocket the difference or anything like that... )
however we do pay 15% sales tax on most stuff here in Ontario...

Can you say FREE! Thanks to the Department of Defense. Oh, but I forgot I owe them my soul. Hum.... I wonder what the weather is like over there in Afganistan.
