Now go out and have some fun you silly kid! When you forget how to have fun, it isn't that you've reached adulthood, you've just basically died on the inside.

Remember this when you are stressed about how to pay the mortgage, the baby won't stop crying, your wife and you have grown distant because of the difficulties that are associated with the pressures of married life.... When the arguement is the most heated - smile at her and say, "Do you have any idea how much I love you?"

This is what I tell my girls when they have gotten on my one last nerve.... works wonders. Trust me on this one.

I gotta go get some sleep now. Inevitably any number of rugrats will end up in the bed with me LOL.

Darlin' just remember that ALL PARENTS want what is best for their children. It's just that sometimes we, as fallible human beings let our own "stuff" get in the way of seeing and doing what really is the right thing.

Nobody's parents are perfect. And none of us will be perfect parents.

This is when it is most helpful to say that you are sorry. Always remember to tell your kids that you are sorry when you have just OBVIOUSLY fucked up. At first this is VERY DIFFICULT. But it gets easier every time....

Mine never did that and it hurts me to this day....

Ah well, I am sure that in about 10 years my girls will be on Dr Phil talking about how I fucked them up too!

If I turned down my job because I had to work holidays...I would never be able to work in the area I wanted to work in. Sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do even if it means missing a holiday with your family. It's all about what your priorities are right now. If you need to work because you need the money to put food on the table (like someone else said), then you might just have to make that sacrifice...if you dont'...then hunt for another job.

I'm a big family person, but they understand that I have to work some holidays.
